Amazing! I just played "The Wreck of the 1256" by Vernon Dalhart on my 1903 Edison Standard Phonograph (with 4-minute attachment). Vernon certainly has a unique singing style that I haven't found anyone else replicate.
I'm sure that's one of the main reasons he was able to record for so many years and for so many labels. I don't remember how many aliases he used but it was quite a lot.
