If they really believed they would have, they would've just run it back with barnes against Lebron's cavs. But they didn't do that. Why? Because they believed they NEEDED KD to take down bron. And that's exactly what happened. KD won those championships.
    -Just because the warriors won without KD 2 yrs ago doesn't mean that they win without kd for their previous 2 championships in 2017-2018. And if KD doesn't get hurt in 2019, they would've won a 3rd chip against the raptors.

    come on man. KD ain't saved nobody's legacies. did he help big time? yes. but please explain to me Zeke....what the hell has he won since? Steph, Klay and Dray won another title. they also did it with a player with less skill than KD, in Wiggins. this sound like a little cheap shot from Zeke. this man on here talking about a Mythical collapse that never happened until 2019-2020, and then after that they won again without KD.

    Man, I really wish people would go back and see just how dominant that 2016 Warriors team actually was. Even in the finals their margin of victory was like 20 pts. Injuries, suspensions and the refs (let's be real), helped Cle. People act like the following year, they would've somehow just fell off a cliff, they still had Steph on a team friendly deal (which is how they got KD), it's possible they could've went and got other people outside of KD to strengthen the team. Even with the injuries, suspensions, if Harrison Barnes plays a little better they still win (the Kings know about HB as well).
    We can acknowledged that KD made the Warriors overpowered, but they were still a dominant team with an excellent roster. They could've strengthened a few areas and essentially been back. In 2019, with no KD if Klay doesn't get injured, many people think they beat the Raptors, in 2022 no KD they win. So again, I just don't understand this idea

  • @brandong5676
    @brandong5676 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

    WRONG!!! This was a 73-9 team, that still played all the way until Game 7 of the finals that year. Everybody act like cavs swept them or the cavs went 4-1. They didn’t exactly need KD they just needed a wing player that could take over the game in crunch time, because the scouting reports started to catch up for other teams. Carmelo Anthony(Olympic Version), Paul George, even Wiggins could have fit that system. They needed a Wing guy because Steph wasnt at the point of where he could take over consistently like other stars. Ultimately, everybody benefited in the end. THEY NEEDED EACH OTHER
