- Members of the judiciary are currently holding a special sitting in the Constitutional Court in Johannesburg in honour of the outgoing Chief Justice Raymond Zondo. This follows a dinner last night to celebrate Zondo's 27-year career. The jurist is set to retire at the end of this month, with his time as the Chairperson of the State Capture Commission highlighted as the hallmark of his career. Addressing guests himself, Zondo described the four years at the commission as challenging. But he emphasised the significance of the role of the public in ensuring that those responsible for State Capture were held accountable. Speaker of the National Assembly of SA Thoko Didiza spoke fondly of the chief justice.

2. CR17 statements = sealed by High Court in Pretoria. The statements were leaked so they are in public.
