There's ALOT!!! missing from this story. The most important battles were done by UFM until Dec 1982 up until this point UFM was the main guerrilla force. With UFM dismantled/sabotaged by different groups(including NRA which gave away UFM positions to the UNLA) in Dec 1982, it became easy for the UNLA to dismantle NRA in early 1983, since NRA was operating in the rear under the protection of the UFM which had been operating closer to Kampala and other areas of Buganda. Without the UFM, NRA was left exposed in the rear and they suffered defeats forcing a lot of people to jump out of the NRA in 1983. It wasnt until splinter cells of UFM started operating again in late 1983 as FEDEMU/UFA that NRA was able to partially resettle in the rear areas of Luweero triangle again with FEDEMU/UFA operating closer to the city. Its this aspect thats missing from all this revisionism. Without UFM, NRA wouldnt have been able to operate.
your stories are good...but the problem you're picking them from one perspective or from m7s book(sowing the mastered seed)...I think how m7 writes about Andrew Kayiira is not fair .he doesn't play RESPECT as a real soldier should have Done..he portrays Kayiira as a weak tribalistic leader ..I agree Kayiira might have been slightly tribalistic.. because Buganda people were too proud in the late 20th century ....but that's not a valid point ... because 80% of m7 soldiers were Baganda people..but 90% of high military Personnels (soldiers of higher rank) were westerners ....This was also being tribalistic ...because he used Buganda soldiers as pawns ♟️ Men who fought the war are not the men that were rewarded but were left to rot and termed as tribalistic people 😢😢😢..
