thanks dude, I've literally just asked about this on another clip then saw your guide. Question... are these xboxs like the old 360s? is there a certain model drive it needs, depending on the main/motherboard, or can I get any series x disc drive? thanks in advance
Coming back to this, I wanted to know too because I plan on replacing the laser disc from my series x with the Xbox 1 since it doesn’t read discs anymore
i still found an easier way just by replacing the entire piece with the lens by removing the three screws that holds it in place and swapping it out with the new one..

@@thathomiefox I'm thinking my issue is with my laser, too. I can play BluRay but not DVD.
@@rfh1987 that’s a weird issue, you can always call repair shops to see if they have an idea.
