Parrots are so funny looking, with their bright colors and big eyes, hook beaks and the noises they make. Like clowns. Then you see them in full flight and they turn from funny to majestic. Birds are really amazing creatures. We are lucky to share the planet with them
We applaud you guys for so much of your work flying Mikey and Mia, getting them sunshine and for the all natural way you feed them. We now applaud you for showing parrot moms and dads that there is a way to have a vacation with your feathered children to allow you a change of scenery without sacrificing their mental well being from separation anxiety. Thank you so much!!
I haven't been back to your channel in a bit. I think it is amazing the life you have given the birds. Their quality of life is incredible, especially knowing what they came from. Blessings and much love. I really enjoy your videos and seeing your beautiful birds.

Hi from Belgium , it's wonderful to see parrots flying like this. I like your videos. It's good to see parrots in captivity be really happy . And I think It's a fantastic idea you have to make this appointements with all of the friends and parrots. It's really good to see. Are you going sometimes in other country ?
Question (I am not on insta/metabook etc. so I may have missed it) about the persons who somehow attached a perch on the backpack. (3:27 / 3:34 / 3:56 cannot make out the logo...) Does anyone know how to do this? Can you buy them somewhere? I want to take my (flightless / handicapped) B&G macaw outside, but she gets nervous/excited and always throttles me/ pierces skin of my neck. I have a pack-o-bird, but that is like walking with her caged; this perchthingy will allow her to get here more sun etc. and maybe even let her move those mobility-restricted wings a bit more. (I can deal with the scaredy-poops, no problem, and she will be wearing a harness as well, of course, for safety. Because she will forget she lost the abilty to fly sometime in her life/ pretty sure she started flighted though.) Sorry to be a bother, googling did not help me at all, maybe you can?
Oh wow so sorry to hear. This is nothing like what having a macaw is like lol. Macaws are extremely loud, very very messy, destructive, they bite hard, when hormones kick in you will be attacked, they are horrible family pets as they like one person and will attack the rest and they live forever… Make sure you have a few spare pennies too, vet bills are crazy and you will need a large aviary
@@MikeyTheMacaw i am Aware of all the things you have mentioned I have got a cage for it as big as 1-2 shipping Containers. their diet is vegetables, fruit And nuts for training. Love watching mikey mia and shelby n tommi ! . Happy birthday tommi . My dad used to have a macaw when i was younger called zooey . Is there there any update on the parrot that went missing that you posted ? . .
Thanks. Unfortunately the man who took him put him out on the street hungry and weak in the middle of the night and a bunch of feathers were found the next day, so we believe a fox got him. So heartbreaking.
Love your videos! I especially love the large free flight group shots. I had a cockatiel for 23 years who would free flight in the house but sadly not outside. It’s so cool to see your cockatiel free flighters because I didn’t even know it could be done. Could you please tell me what kind of parrot this is at 5:18? I’ve never seen one like it before.
Where is that? It's gorgeous! Also seeing all the parrots together makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside (especially the cockatiels! I love them)They all look so happy with their owners.
Hello. Love the videos, I hope to one day be able to free fly my parrots as well. I couldnt help but notice some of the backpacks people are wearing have built in stands. I couldnt find anything similar anywhere online. Would you know where I could find one of those backpacks? Or are they DIY / custom made items? I am really interested in finding one. Thank you.
The person with the lip-ring/piercing: you are either very brave or insane :) (or have an extraordinary parrot(s) ) Even mijn african grey would have ripped it out, let alone my macaw! I loved, loved, loved seeing all those parrots (and parrotpeople) together. (Makes me wish I could as well :D but mine is broken...) Mikeys beak is growing so long! Doesn't he rub it?
Brilliant. Happy birthday Tommi! I love your videos guys. As someone thinking about getting a Macaw i have used your videos as part of my learning before making a decision. I have just one question if i can ask. Do they birds ever get attacked by birds of prey? I live in Scotland and I have always wondered if it has ever been an issue. Many thanks in advance and keep up the great work. I hope Mikey and Mia don't want to upgrade their nest lol
So our guys do get the odd chase by kites etc, but are pretty fit fliers to out fly them or if they see danger in the sky they usually don’t fly. Have a chat with soaring wings flock. They fly macaws in Scotland.
Hahaha yup, if we don’t fly for around 3 days they sit at the window screaming and have far too much energy. The second we are outside they try and take off and scream with joy
They answerd it a couple of times. They most likely would replace the eggs with dummies as they don't want to contribute to the problem of more unwanted and caged parrots.
The more I watch your videos and all these free flightet birds and their amazing owners the less I can tolerate that people keep birds in cages all day. Free flying them is of course next level not all owners are capable of it and that's ok but at least take them out of their cages during day time or build them a decent aviary and challenge them mentally. These creatures are simply amazing. 10:00 omg😅

Do you guys have to take the birds for a wellness check before taking them to free flight parties like this? My parrot vet is very against parrot play dates because it risks transferring disease, so I'm just curious.
Always, every free flier gets their bird fully disease tested at least once a year to make sure all birds are well and healthy before coming in contact with others.
Awesome video as usual. Why don't you take the nest away, other birds respond to this very well so I don't understand why your pandering to them even putting their food there too? Best thing would have been to leave the nest in the lake District recycling centre.
Honestly we did think this. Before they made the nest they were so frustrated and very loud, now they are actually super chill, they are calm, quiet and clean, it’s not the worst thing in the world. It’s their choice to be there, we don’t feel we should dictate their lives more than we already have
@@MikeyTheMacaw I understand that but in the long run there are a lot of risks in allowing this behaviour.
