Holy shit thank you to the algorithm… just hearing the sounds of the game, let alone seeing this map again, brings back a TIDAL WAVE of nostalgia. For just a millisecond I felt like I was back in high school waking up early to grind MW2. This game defined a generation and all of us here in these comments were a part of something that won’t ever be replicated. 💙

Everything about this game was so spectacularly smooth, from the movement to the weapon switching, gun feel to recoil patterns. Absolute marvel of a game. Extremely happy I lived and played through it's prime, extremely sad I'll never experience video game joy like that again
Nowadays it seems like games try to focus in on making it hyper realistic which makes it feel more sluggish instead of arcade like and smooth.
@@AlexxTehGreat I agree entirely and I feel so much is lost as a result. I get it though, as developers you'd wanna innovate and make use of the improved hardware capabilities etc. to bring a more detailed and immersive experience. But I feel the pursuit of realism particularly in regards to CoD, a game that used to embrace it's arcade-y nature, has ended up leaving the newer titles feeling increasingly soulless

Damn man this hit me right in the feels. I was 16 when this game came out I am 29 now. Still my favorite COD to date. So many great memories and just pure bliss playing this game. Times were so much simpler

I remember buying this game on Nov 2009 I believe and during this time I was using my older bros Xbox 360 and it took me a month to get to prestige 10 and I was like 9 years old at the time. Guess what? Bro sold his Xbox during that month I became prestige 10 lol I was so hurt because I grinded to get there

This was truly the funnest COD game I ever played. Not perfect, had a system that allowed for noobs/camping, had glitches/hacks towards the end, but overall it was fun, exciting, not too overwhelming/overcomplicated.
Due to the less attachments/customization (compared to current COD games) MW2 seemed like everyone, no matter what skill, could copy and use someone else's class and try and prove whether ir was skill or the class set up that was so good (it was always skill).
Nostalgia. So much. Also coming home from middle school and playing this on a Friday was one of the greatest "kick off your shoes and relax" feelings ever. And the shit talk was immaculate. Great times
I used to get up early BEFORE school just to play it. One of my favorite games of all time. Tried playing it online a few months ago on the 360 but i couldn't find a game :/

Loaded up customs and just walked around each map remembering all the little spots of the map that I forgotten about, remembering plays, remebring spots the emergency airdrops would get stuck. I put more than 30 days worth of time into that game. Will never forget :)

Wow man I was 20 when this game came out and I remember it changing my whole life for the good I stayed out of trouble more and just stayed home with friends and played
MW2 came out was the best memories of my life. FFA boosting 🤣, across the map tubing in domination, riot shields and RPG with explosive damage on SnD. 1v1 quickscope only on Rust. Michael myers with 15 people in a private match. Elevator glitches that send you 5,000ft above the map. Akimo model shotguns. The broken commando perk increase knife lunge by 20ft. Then the javelin glitch when you die drops a MOAB… so much fun

This is real cod. No warzone, no sliding, no tac sprinting, no meta classes, forced snd game chat, dead silence as a perk, crazy trickshots, and no kali sticks.
