The in laws are shameless specially the mother. They help their son fool his wife. They raise their son to be who he is. When the wife was begging them for help, they refused. She should show no mercy to the perpetrator , his mistress and family. They should pay for the crime they committed.
The mother is a piece of work. When at the company in front of quite a few employees, she's screaming and fighting and accusing and threatening and trying to physically assault her and the words spewing from her loud, uncontrolled mouth are intended to make everyone within earshot think the DIL is the evil one, but the moment they're just the 3 of them in the private dining room, suddenly she's kneeling down and "begging" for mercy for her louse of a son, conveniently forgetting her and her spineless husband's part in bullying this same woman and kicking her when she was down. That the DIL maintained her composure, dignity and position on never letting them manipulate her again was beautiful to see. More dramas should follow this lead and show more women of substance and intelligence than they do.
I love movies of women overcoming every struggle and coming out victorious. If these writers can give us more of these, they would control more clicking traffic. Besides, it would empower more people in difficulties and let them know that tears do not solve problems.
They are so infuriating. Not once did they care that he left her in huge debt to private loaners who can make people disappear. But their son who has done all these horrible things deserves to be let off. No Way. I'm glad that C-Dramas are starting to have stronger female leads, even though the way they drag things out makes me question some of their choices. That said the mothers always seem to be so domineering, There must be an age where the switch in females clicks from doormat to aggressively controlling
These people want her to withdraw her complaint against the son? Even though he probably did what she accused him of since he's now a fugitive? They are so shameless. The son must just turn himself in and let this woman live a peaceful life.

I always think it’s because to admit your child turned out to be a terrible excuse for a human means that you as a parent have failed. And nobody wants to admit they’re a failure so the only other option is wilful ignorance and aggression towards anyone that present things to them differently

But what you cannot do is sit back and watch your child hurt others due to embarrassment or being considered a failure. At some point they need to be held accountable for their actions. And if you sit by and do nothing you’re no better than them and should be held accountable with them.
