The intro was so cool! The M1A2 Abrams tank is superb! It has smoke producing system that is amazing and also it makes the specific motorized sound which is so good! It works quite nicely and runs smoothly. The shooter is also great as it really throws the projectiles or bullets quickly! It also costs less than 280 dollars which is a good deal!

Heng Long has been around since 1986. I recently purchased their king tiger promotional version. They do sell different versions of the same tanks. The standard version, comes with plastic gear boxes, and I believe, plastic tracks, and road wheels. Mine has metal gear boxes, tracks, road wheels, and barrel. That is the main difference between standard, and pro version, and the promotional version. The tanks are 1/16 scale. It doesn't sound like they are that big, but they are quite large, for a 1/16 scale. They are indeed, a lot of fun. I should also mention, my tank also has a 360 degree turret. It can spin all the way around. You can always upgrade the turret later on.

Really cool model, all the functions seem really cool. Love the metal tracks and gears, adds to realism. However the engine sound is that of a diesel engine when it should sound more like a turbine engine. Otherwise it's really nice. Nice review.
I'm sorry but as a former tanker I have to point out a couple of zonks about the tank, don't get me wrong I love it for what it is and I will get the M1A2 and a German Leopard for the kids (we live in Germany so the Leopard is a must!). First, is the M1A2 doesn't smoke like a chimney and the tank commander should have a tanker helmet and not a kevlar helmet or a "steel pot." It's still super cool! Great video, keep the drone content up, I'm a subscriber!
For true realism, you should glue a 50cal ammo lid perpendicular to the vents in the back, like it’s been jammed in there. Then put some tiny canteen cups on there.
I recently bought advanced version of M1 Abrams from Lazada, it didn't have that brown road wheels. They are metal road wheels and the caterpillar tracks are metal.

Very, very cool Cap'n! I love it! As a kid we used to play with Army men and cheap hollow vehicles and such. This would have been such a fantastic addition to that! The PC police are being a bit overbearing on this one unfortunately but you've got to be one of the most PC, non-biased reviewers on TH-cam! Usually it is people complaining that I show drones, and drones are made in China and China has terrible human rights. Yet they type this on their phone made in China. Go figure.
I went to bangood to order a rc heli and ended up getting the pro version of the abrams when I saw it. Never ordered from this store, so I’m hoping everything will turn out well. If they come out with a pro version of the Bradley, I’ll get that too. (Pro version has more metal parts)

Had one. The gearbox bearings don’t last long when used in the outdoor environment. They don’t like grass or hills , it kills the bearings and expense to repair. Mine has turned out to be a expense ornament.
I thought the dude on the turret had an inaccurate helmet but a quick google says there's a 5 year period where the helmet and tank overlap in their usage in the military.

If you use the included battery the runtime is 20 to 30 mins depending on what you do. If you keep driving at full speed, then much less. Everyone just puts a much larger lipo battery since the is plenty of space to add a large one.
Take a closer look at the modern tank ( Abrams) the tank commander ( figurine ) is the very same tank commander sitting in the WWII Walker tank they could have at least brought the RC Abrams TC up to date.
You mean a KIT where you have to build it and add your own electronics? If so, I’m not aware of any other than plastic models you can build and turn into electric tanks.

Not that hard actually. A friend of mine does exactly that to many of his RC vehicles and then drives them through the forest while standing almost a mile away.
@@MacaroniMatt Shake the tank. You could have something blocking the area like a piece of foam…. Or you don’t have the yellow bullets loaded correctly, or you have the wrong size bullets. You did press both fire buttons, right?

@@MacaroniMatt Ahhh... yeah, you should hear a CLICK sound when the mechanism fires. My only guess would be that the firing mechanism is not plugged in or it is turned off. The manual may help because I certainly don't recall how to turn it on/off if that is the case. Last option is to take it apart to access the receiver and ensure it is all plugged in (it is just a servo).

Sounds like an issue with a gear when in reverse (one track receives more power than the other)

Depends on your country. For me these are inexpensive, $245 Canadian and under $200 US.

They can go up to 3000$ for the Aeromate ones , 400$ is a decent price, plus you can find them used all over for almost nothing

Anything plastic is a deal breaker for me.
Just got mine and it’s not shooting no idea why, it recoils but doesn’t fire
