    The biggest deal in the history of the company and she had no idea what was going on? She wasn't involved in any of the discussions or negotiations?! Unbelievable how she doesn't remember any of what had to be the biggest moment in the company's history. She lived and breathed that company. The fact that she tries to distance herself during her deposition is so disingenuous and shocking. She is such a liar. It's hard to believe but delicious to watch as the walls slowly start closing in on her!

    • @IsacriToth
      @IsacriToth ปีที่แล้ว +4

      You yourself can try changing your voice to a lower/higher pitch by just widening your vocal range as much as you can, with exercises. You will see that you can only speak comfortably (without thinking about it) after 1-2 months. It is a thing of reflex. If you try to switch it back you go through a similar process. All singers and actors do vocal exercises for widening their vocal range. Even I did amateur acting in middle/high school and I really needed to make my voice more powerful. Voice is a tool. Your voice changes across your life. Your childhood voice is not necessarily "yours" - it is often modeled after one of parents or whoever you are near when growing up. And if you don't like how you sound (e.g. I hated my voice in recordings), you can just change it. Nothing inherently fake or evil about this, otherwise we would criminalize makeup too. It's just form. The essence is the fact that she put lives in danger, abused employees, scammed investors, and there is hard evidence for this.

    "Sitting here now", "as I understand it", "I don't know", "I don't remember".
    What I find especially telling in this smoke screen response language is when asked if she ever heard Sunny Balwani say something; her response is most often "I don't know".
    WTF does that mean? She can''t say just "No." (often). Maybe this is in subsequent questioning.
    This is clearly coaching on how to be evasive and not incriminate herself by denying somethings she could get caught on.
    Liar.

    The DA went after what they believe would stick, and the path to least resistance. They would need to prove "criminal intent," and that is very hard, and if not almost impossible to do. Of course, everything she did with that company "was criminal," but proving it is a whole new ball game. That's why they didnt go down "the fraud" charges most likely.

    WHY is everyone so shocked and disturbed that she claims 'not to remember' or "does not recall' or 'has no recollection' of specific things that happened several years back~? First of all, they are asking details and specifics and conversations even in negotiations are never that way; people go off on tangents and some things will always spoken, taken and used out of context; but more importantly, it is the safest answer from a legal point of view b/c it is easy to say too much or even say the wrong thing by sheer accident but 'it can (still) and will (still) be used *against* you in a court of law' AT HER TRIAL. If you were answering these questions, your lawyer would be telling you the same thing about how to answer b/c she will be asked all these things again in court.

      agreed if you are guilty- like taking the 5th. if you are innocent then you have no problem answering the questions truthfully. Her denial during questioning will also be used against her with the plethora of phone calls, texts, emails, and witness testimony which absolutely contradict her 'not remembering' answers. She is lying during this deposition but has no choice because admitting guilt now would be the end of it.
