This is exactly what I was thinking as I was listening to him. Some of my ranking would be quite different, and I think it is mainly a generational perspective.
Alice has a huge discography, it's difficult to 'rank' some of this material.

I'm 68 years old and Easy Action was in my high school days. It was the only 8 track I played in my 65 Chevy van with portholes and surfboard racks. lol For a long time Alice was all I played in that van. Sold the van just before Killer was released so Under my wheels was what I played in my V8 Vega. I'll admit I enjoyed how much his music shocked the "straights".

I can't believe this lineup 😢 I've been a Alice Cooper fan since the early 70s and I've heard every album and have gone to multiple Cooper concerts over the years, I've even met Alice and the original band. Everyone has their opinion and taste in music but I think your way off.😊

“Is Brutal Planet THAT different from Dragontown?!?”
That depends on in what way you’re asking. If we’re talking about the general musical style and direction of both albums then no there isn’t much difference. If we’re talking about the overall strength of the songs between both albums then yes there certainly is. Brutal Planet has way stronger songs overall than Dragontown does.

Only recently discovered your channel from the Kiss reviews and now you drop this. Nice to see someone closer to my age who knows these catalogues and beyond that, shares similar opinions.
Haven't given AC a proper listen in a while, I remember Brutal Planet coming out as a kid and my mum played it every chance she had, my favourite childhood album next to Kiss' Revenge. Need to give Eyes of Alice Cooper another go I only heard it in full once, liked it but nothing stuck with me despite the solid production and the humour you mentioned.

I enjoyed the video even if I don't agree with your rankings but that might just be because I'm an old guy and bought School's Out and Billion Dollar Babies when they were first released. Oddly I have a newfound appreciation for muscle of love and to share a funny story I purchased Welcome To My Nightmare and Alice Cooper Goes to Hell on eight track and it wasn't until I bought Lace and Whiskey on vinyl that I found out the band had changed haha. I agree with most of your list, however Special forces and especially Flush the fashion need to be much higher. SF has Who do you think we are, Prettiest cop on the block, Skeletons in the closet & Vicious rumors - 4 solid hits. The rest can't keep quite up but it's still good (minus the unneccessary Generation landslide re-recording). Flush the fashion is fun from start to end and my fav, tied with Constrictor. I agree he should re-record some of this stuff. I would put both Along came a spider and School's out lower - both have barely any memorable songs IMO. Thanks for the effort you put into this list, take care :)

Love Brutal Planet as well definitely his heaviest. Interesting you have it at No. 1 and Dragontown at 22. Brutal and Dragon have a similar sound and feel to them. Quite a difference for you tho. Hey Brother. We certainly hear Alice Cooper differently! For me the greatest part of his discography is the early 80s: Flush the Fashion to DaDa. (Ok. So he doesn't remember anything. Bowie didn't remember making some mid 70s masterpieces.) I love this era b/c it is a wonderful mix of new wave (current) and glam (past). Nice that we agree on Clones being an excellent song. It's probably my fave from Alice Cooper and my #10 for 1980 - an extremely competitive year. I will come back to see what you have on the top but I am assuming its early/mid 70s.

It's not easy to rank 28 albums. I'm guessing very few people know all the albums very well. That's the problem with a huge catalog. In some ways a more compact discography is better but as a fan it can be fun to discover hidden gems even on albums you don't care too much for.
I think Alice Cooper has released many good songs but I think the albums are hit and miss.. Like you hint at talking about "Hey Stoopid". Some songs are just too strange or average. I feel like he/they sometimes just don't put that much effort into it either. Just like "here is some old b-side we can change a bit, right guys? Sure! That's track number seven". Offcourse hard to write 100's of classics songs but still.
    Have a great one!

The one thing I liked is where you put Constrictor and your bottom two. Anyway my number 1 is Zipper Catches Skin so that’s just as weird. By the way it’s not new wave really, Flush The Fashion is, Zipper is more straight ahead rock, give it another listen

I enjoyed your ranking. Probably agree with about half to two-thirds of it, but for me Dragontown is #2, right behind Brutal Planet, which is definitely #1. Also, I would rank Killer much higher, right with Love It To Death. They were played endlessly in my early 1970s years and always made the moment. Not much after Dragontown that I care for. I always seem to find his albums, throughout his career, a mix of mediocre to excellent songs, with at least one that I would have preferred leaving off. The Mars song is superb, and the whole Lost in America album is probably #3 in my book. Thanks again for the post.

Seen him on his killer tour in FL for about probably $6-$8 back then at the age of 16. Different time back then. Yes long hair freak flag. I never cared for his later stuff. Sounds dated now but back then it was new and great. You were not around back then so it would sound dated. After killer music was changing and just not interested anymore.

Hey, it’s great you’re an Alice fan and you are certainly entitled to your opinion. However, classic Alice Cooper Band albums like Killer cannot be ranked below Brutal Planet!! Dude, Alice had no business trying to be Rob Zombie. That industrial metal sound is horrible! Well, that’s my rant. God Bless and rock on.

couldnt agree with you more about the eyes of alice cooper. everything after that was over produced and too polished, resulting in no punch to them and very muddy sounding. shame because there was some great riffs on them..

@@christopherbingham5092 Michael Bruce told me personally that he did like that album and sometimes Artist don’t like an album that a fan likes,it’s a great Rock album just not as theatrical which you can’t handle.

He signed my book that he wrote and cds and told me stories of the 60s Laurel Canyon days when the Cooper band and Pink Floyd either roomed together or hung out a lot and great Jim Morrison stories too and mailed me his solo albums later.

where there is a lot of light, there is also a lot of darkness. alice made a ton of great songs, but also some really crappy ones.

Love the list, although I disagree with many of your assessments. Constrictor is not a good album at all, Trash is overrated and generic, and Hey Stoopid is anemic. From the Inside is great, but top 3? Brutal Planet number one? Uh... Also, I love the blackout albums, and Killer and BDB are my top two AC albums, but hey, we all have our preferences!
