Quitting didn't just save my sanity. It sent a message along with the other resignations that the system has to change. There are too many broken teachers out there and too many kids being let down by a system with no resources or consequences.
After nearly 25 year, I'm throwing it in this June. Can't wait. I'll get a small pension, but it'll be worth the peace of mind and well being. Sad, but I always thought my retirement would be with a sense of accomplishment. It is not. I leave with a heavy heart because of the state of education and attitude of kids today.
What's great about these options is you can do several of them to make income at once! I'm the daughter that freelance writes for other firms AND I started our own blog/TH-cam channel. It can be done, and it makes each day more fun!
What do you want to do when you leave teaching?

It's really too bad that the education system has declined over the years. I'm hoping for a happy retirement for you!
I just quit today with mixed emotions. :(
Wow! I’m sure you do have mixed. Feelings! Any idea what you’re going to do?
Man teachers are overworked and have no life....good luck on your new journey
@@TheFreedomStrategy I am still trying to figure it out. Thanks for this video though. A lot great ideas I had not thought of.
@@ryanmartin873 Good luck and keep me posted!
@@ryanmartin873 I feel you. Any update on what you ended up doing after teaching?
Yes!! I’m ready to quit now. I can’t afford to leave until I find a another job first. I’ve been looking for alternative jobs for awhile now.
Keep up the search! You'll find something that resonates with you. Make sure to really explore your strengths to see what might be a great fit!

Your video provides valuable guidance and encouragement. Keep up the excellent work!"
I’ve been teaching 4 years, but know nothing about my retirement fund. I’m lost there because there’s never been great education on it. Help!
