    An add just came up on Instagram I watched a video of this Carbinox and I thought this was too good to be truth. Since I bought an umigidi smartwatch that I have wore everyday outdoors and is already scratched but functional, I thought to get a rugged smartwatch like this one. Thank you for the info I think I will keep my scratched watch for one more year now.

    Glad to see this review. Software is a huge component when considering a smartwatch. Many people get sold on the hardware and realize (after purchase) that they can’t reliably use half of the advertised features. There are a ton of brands popping up with slick marketing, impressive feature list, and great price. Most of them fail to mention anything about the supporting app. This is a huge red flag. After doing some digging, you’ll usually find that the back end is handled by a third party (as you mentioned), third rate app with horrible reviews on the app marketplaces. It’s definitely a case of getting what you pay for. Application development and support is a massive expense, which is why the established brands are much more costly.

    Ordered one last weekend. I don't care about it connecting with the phone as I just wanted another digital watch. I have a pocket watch that is analog I carry but I do miss a wristwatch. Although I have a cellphone I don't always have it with/on me. I'm a medically retired driver since 2018 and when I'm doing things around the house stopping to pull out my phone is not always a good thing.
    Oh, I quickly found out in 1991 that I couldn't keep a white t-shirt white around a big truck as they were a magnet for fifth wheel grease.😂

    Kospet is the parent company for this watch. I have the Kospet Tank aka Carbinox Titan. I have had zero issues. I have had direct impacts to the screen, salt water, pool water, deer guts still works. No connection issues with any notifications.
    And yes it is your fault for the messages. You have to use the last option of other app notifications.

    Thanks for the review. I just saw an ad for their Spacecrafter model and looked up reviews of Carbinox themselves. Apparantly they are part of Luminox, which is a good watch company, but I didn't know anything about them before searching. One thing I was surprised about was that you stated you wore the watch for about two weeks, but you don't know how long the charge lasts? Did you get that information afterwards and just not mention it?

    • @FitsandFun
      @FitsandFun  ปีที่แล้ว

      I couldn't wear it to bed, it was too big and uncomfortable for me to get used to. So I hooked it to the charger when I went to bed. I don't think they actually make this model anymore. It's been taken off their website. I haven't tried any of their new watches.

    I bought two Carbinox Titan-Pro watches - one for my boyfriend, and one for his Son for Christmas 2022. Less than one month 1/11/23 and my boyfriend who is a truck driver has already cracked the screen. He's not sure how it happened but it was during his workday without any major impact. His phone also wouldn't connect to his messages. BP monitor was not accurate. The second watch (his Son's watch) gave him a terrible rash where the screen touches the skin and the band its self also gave him a rash. NOT AS ADVERTIZED. DO NOT BUY THIS WATCH.

    Great video, clear and concise. I've had BOTH the TITAN and SPACECRAFT and I completely agree with you! The BIGGEST issue I had was the COMFORT and it "burned" when I got sweaty! I TRIED to contact Carbinox but NEVER heard back from them. I think if they offered interchangeable bands "not rubber" that it would be a better product. I think they need to FOCUS on REAL customers reviews rather than cheesy actors!!!

I took it off and slammed it face down on my desk just joking around and there is not a scratch on it. I hit it pretty hard. I'm going to give this one to my girlfriend and get the Titan Pro for myself since it can send and answer calls. I was a skeptic at first since it is a pretty new company but I love it so far. They offer NO RETURNS or Exchanges for defective items which is a laughable policy for a product that's marketed as durable. owned one of these that lasted less than a month of medium duty use (truck driving/moving heavy stuff etc.). The wristband buckle came apart. It has an aesthetic ruggedness but the parts that keep the watch together are cheap and flimsy. This company is about 2 years old, total money grab. Don't waste your money, for $100+ they're asking you can get a real watch from a real company.

    If I could give 0 stars I absolutely would. Products are cheap, the owner is a joke (Jose) and he runs this business out of an apartment in Miami. The return process is ridiculous -- he demands a picture of the undamaged item and refuses to respond. I sent the items back ***IN MAY*** -- everything in its original packaging (3 of the items I didn't even open) and have yet to receive any refund. This is unethical and proves he is extremely shady and should be shut down.

    I regretfully bought this watch and I may possibly not be able to get a refund on this low quality watch. I definitely don’t recommend it. After watching your video i just remembered that the software is made by a company in china. There is no phone number for customer service on the website. They only provide an email address for returns. This is a bogus product. The screen resolution looks cheap like one of those knockoff smart watches you might see at walmart in the jewelry section thats not in the glass case.

      @@FitsandFun I have read many good and bad reviews about this. It makes me think that unfortunately, you got one of those that needed a little more attention. Its like a drone that you buy for 1200 dollars and when you receive it, it is not functioning right. It doesn't mean that the brand is bad, but all you have to do is to get it replaced with a good one. Now I dont know how Carbinox's policy as far as replacement.

    It could be uncomfortable because you usually don't wear watches for long time. I'm sure it has many more features. Also your watch needs to have Bluetooth on along with phone Bluetooth on in order to get your messages. Also if it's simple then that's good you don't want complexity in installation in any watch. Did you read the instructions? Any way thanks for sharing.

    • @FitsandFun
      @FitsandFun  ปีที่แล้ว

      I had my Bluetooth on and connected, I read the instructions. It is a very basic system. There isn't much to it. Same operating system that many other brands use. It's not a bad watch, it's just not for me.

    Perhaps you can help me. My son works in a shop so needs a watch that is "tough". He wants a smart watch and found the Ranger X. So many of these watches are the same but I have found you have to watch closely as some do not allow for call/answer but only notification. I am completely lost and confused. The Garmin Instinct (not the Instinct 2 which is above my price range) looks good but it looks like it is just notifications. The price on it now is only about $50 more than the Ranger X which I am certain is another of the made in China brands with a rebranded face... Can you offer a suggestion?

    • @FitsandFun
      @FitsandFun  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Most of these watches are fairly basic and very similar. One that I like because I can answer calls and talk directly through the watch is the Luxium Crusader. It's still similar to all these inexpensive smart watches, but being able to talk directly through the watch is nice. Still, it's the same generic operating system.

    I've been using the Amazfit T-Rex for the last 2 years. Battery last for 10-14 days. I've tried the Google watch, Samsung with Tizen (Samsung has since ditched Tizen for Google) and few of the other Chinese offerings. This does the best job of balancing battery life and functionality IMO. I question its steps counting as I have worn a Ticwatch with Google and the T-Rex at the same time and the steps on the Ticwatch was about 3K more than the T-Rex.

      If you have an android phone you have to go to the Da Fit app settings and give it permission to see calls and texts. I don't have this particular watch but the watch i have uses the same 3rd party app.
