In this video, I will be showing you how to fix EA FC 24 controller not working issues on your Windows 10/11 PC. Or if your controls are not working on the controller in FIFA 24.
There are a few things that you can do to fix your controller not working in the game, or your controller not connecting in FC 24, that I show you in this video.

I select the customize controls with my controller but it gives me keys for keyboard mappings
Whilst i appreciate the video and have liked. By the time ive taken to go through all the steps ive had enough and turned game off. Its about time EA got this problem sorted whilst 90% of your fixes are fixes for user/controller issues in general the real problem is FC24 is broken so most of these fixes wont work for FC24. Sorry if i sound like im ranting its directed towards EA not yourself and i appreciate the video and effort thats gone into it.
you fixed it man? I buyed the game but sometimes it works like in squad battles and sometimes doesnt work like in division rivALS

Hi, im using x360 controller app that set up my controls correctly with the right inputs, however my problem is that the game itself doesnt recognize the controller at all.....
used to work for fifa 16/fifa 21 and now it just doesnt work??
Controller works in menu but when i start a game it only lets me play through keyboard

@@ReaMilf sort of, i closed steam as i opened the game and played with 30 fps and windowed borderless

I do get that issue frequently! I usually quit and restart both my pc and fc24 and it works. However, if i shutdown my pc, the same issue occur.
Controller works fine, PC runs fine. I just need to know how to disable the mouse input for the game! Simply unplugging it doesn't work either

Sometimes when I play ultimate team with my brother, our controllers freeze and it goes crazy for a while and then it starts up. Can anyone tell me what to do with it?
So my game was skipping in the menus and joysticks just not working right ended up disconnecting mouse and keyboard as the game was launching and had to have ps5 remote plugged in with cable to pc bluetooth was recognizing it in game even though it was connected to pc and reading it.

I FOUND A FIX FOR GHOST CONTROLLERS ON EAFC. ON STEAM CLICK ON VIEW THEN ENTER SMALL MODE. ONCE IN SMALL MODE RIGHT CLICK ON EAFC AND GO TO PROPERTIES. ON THE CONTROLLER TAB DISABLE STEAM INPUT. ITLL START WORKING AFTER THAT. IT FIXED IT FOR ME.

So with my game it’s looks like it’s just an in game bug because my player can’t sprint when having ball or no ball he’ll be on defense mode and locked. Like the ai is uninterested in the ball and more on the opposition team.
i use the ea app and whenever i use the controller on the game it doesnt work but then when i use it on steam big picture it works so does anyone know what to do if u pkay the game of ea app?

hello bro, i have a problem. Mid game u cant control my player anymore for like 5 sec and after i can this keeps happening
Guys i have a fix!!! My keyboard and mouse was overwriting my controller everytime and is was so annoyed, until i found the issue... on steam there is a virtual keyboard what you need to do is go to settings -> controller-> and then the one where it says something with controller mapping or lay-out, then choice the option where you can change it, and then go after all youre controller binds and delete them or setting them to controller. The issue is that youre controller has virtual keyboard binds for example L3 is popping up the virtual keyboard. L1 and R1 is set on ctrl and alt. You need to change that to L3 = left joystick. I will put a link of a video!!

I am getting double or triple inputs while navigating the menu, like I press down once and it moves down twice or three times. I'm using a PS5 Controller and DS4Windows

Same issue
During a career mode match I randomly had a couple of blue arrows appear over my some opponents heads and my seconday pressure stopped working. I have solved the arrows issue but my secondary pressure doesnt work. That is only in career mode. In regular matches against the computer (not career mode) it works fine. (PS4) any ideas how i fix it in career mode?
Same issue as well on pc. With xbox controller b button won't defend it just flickering triangle arrow on other player.

When im playing Eafc24 i use an xbox controller and after a few minutes of playing fc24 my game will lag. so i take the batteries out of the controller and put them back in and it doesnt lag anymore. Then a few minutes later i have to do it again. I Believe it could be my controller, My drivers are updated so i just wanna know. If anyone could help please. I play on pc

What about the person other end changing your settings through a cheat adaptor - just two many cheats on fifa
xbox series x - my pad works in all the menus. then when i load clubs or jump into a pratice lobby thing. the controller doesnt work? weird right? any ideas please help. weird as . i reset console etc .. didnt work tomight but did for a few games yesterday after not working. Annoying AF

my controller works in offline matches but not any online (ultimate team etc). tried different controllers, plugging all usb devices from my pc, linking ea app with steam, ds4 and even lowering my graphics. for some reason i can just about play fine at 30fps online but is still delayed. tried everything and still can’t find a solution, any help is appreciated.

I play fc 24 on my ps 3 controller but when i play sometimes my player just starts sprinting at one direction and i cant do anything i cant even switch to another player this is really bothering me beacuse most of my games this happens and when it happens it happens multiple times does anybody know how do i fxx this it would help a lot thanks

How did you connect your ps4 controller to EA play?
Start up the game,then dont touch keyboard or mouse,use only controller for navigating menu and start game,use only controller,that worked for me.

Did you try to completely unbind everything from the steam controller inputs ? I will send a link to a yt video which shows it. Some say it is only the digital keyboard but I unbinded everything and now its working perfect
My game works perfectly offline and on volta online . but everything else online besides Bolta my players either stay put or they run off the field every damn time does anyone know how to fix this?

actual fix for the mouse override issue: Put your mouse to the top right screen
It affects the controls ingame. I shoot to the top because of this

my controller just goes to the left by itself and the binds are completly wrong and i tried literally everything
For the ones who still cant fix. Put your input to keyboard only, plug your controller in and dont touch your keyboard and you can play on controller.
and if you cant move in the menus check if your mouse is on it bc it overrides the controller, so move your mouse into the corner of your screen and u should be good

Every second game of mine, my controller seems to not work in game, then I restart the game and it works again. what happens too is my person randomly just runs in one direction for the whole game. but I think its not a controller problem because once i restart it works again.

Hi, thanks for the indepth video. I am having issues playing online games modes. the controller works perfectly in offline modes. Any help is appreciated.
exact same issue i cant figure out why rivals wont allow me to play without a cable, blue tooth seems impossible to play online
and even with a cable the controller still bugs out time to time due the the wire hanging down
@@lusosuso9676 How's your ping? I just tried a match with the controller input overlay turned on. Turns out that my input is not going through. So it might also be an internet issue.
Turns out it was an issue with the keyboard being the controller for online matches. So when you turn in the game on PC. Make sure you press a button on the controller rather than the keyboard on the first prompt. Very dumb issue though. Should be able to decide the controller we want event for online matches. Hope this helps.

i ended up fixing it through steam, through steam. managed properties-controller-use default settings so only playstation is available. (I use ps5 controller) i think the xbox being enable as well was messing with settings. Now the game only sees my ps5 controller. hopefully that helped ya

I mate my controller is still not working it just keeps auto moving left or right so I cannot select anything I tried everything and it works on every other game but eafc24 called ea and they said it wasn't there issue 😔

why did EA make this so difficult its so dumb!! Every other game you can switch back and fourth from mnk to controller. All the years theyve made games and they can't solve this problem. SMH
