On the CHN mobile site it states largest discovery since 2000, on desktop it states one of*. Perhaps the mobile version hasn't been updated. We've corrected the title.

Never going to be approved. It’s proximity to Perth, as well as the state forest it sits on means it will never be mined.
and they are still looking for more, maybe praying they can find something an acceptable distance from the million inhabitants of perth.
350 million tonne pit plus the waste...doubtful, 80 million tonne of oxide... maybe.
dont bother mentioning boddington as a precedent for an approval of gonneville's proposed size.... boddington has a footprint of about 11km from north to south...the gonneville pit would be just 7km from the avon river...all the julimar area drains into the avon.
not to mention draining the local aquifers for processing water, and dust supression on mountains of waste dumps, the risk of once in a hundred (or thousand) years rainfall events on tailings dams... there will be objections and petitions in the thousands, environmental appeals that could last for 10 years... they better get started early on that aspect.
even if chalice spent some of their considerable millions buying up all the private land between chittering and toodyay they will be battling to contain this boiling pot.
What about Ardea Resources (ARL), I thought they have largest Nickel resource in AUS?
