It Would it be easier to just click select color range and select black, mess with fuzziness and delete from the the image but I’m wondering if this gives better results because the method sometimes selects other colors as well that are close to black. Will try your method!
Yeah you're fuzziness around those edges is probably not going to be as clean as this because what we are doing is separating just the black layer and then making sure it is solid black all the way across and selecting only that color where the method that you are talking about is going to vary a little bit more. Also wouldn't exactly halftone the image if you are just selecting the black only
It def wont print the way you think it will doing it this way The best option is to keep the black background in the design but in garment creator hit the "use garment black" option It knocks out the black wayyyyyyy better than that magic wand tool If you got any half opacity pixels in your artfile your printer resorts to basically printing the white underbase like normal but then barely putting whatever color its suppose to be

What computer program are you using?
Photoshop
thank youuuuu
Can dtf print, print fade effects?
It can but honestly the results are not great compared to DTG. The small amounts of ink and powder left leave you wanting more.

What is garment creator
@fernandolanderos4600 it's a software that the epson f2000 and f2100 use to actually print the design on the shirt.
