I ran across your channel a while ago. Thank you for taking the time to teach all of us some skills we have forgotten over the years. In fact, it has inspired me to up my game a little and stop dressing like a 10 year old. Never thought I would be re-inventing myself at 60 years old,
*I MAKE BESPOKE HISTORICAL SUITS* here is my No1 above all else top tip - GET YOUR CLOTHES ALTERED TO FIT Rich people dont look rich cos their clothes are expensive - they look rich cos their clothes FIT. A $20 second-hand jacket with $40 of alterations will look like a $1600 jacket. And I mean ALL your clothes, your shirts, your jeans, everything you wear.
Hi. Could you make a video on the principal of how to combine (and not combine) different levels of textures? Use of texture seems to be a forgotten corner of the menswear TH-cam space. Plenty of videos on combining colors - almost nothing on the use and misuse of texture. Another welcome video would be on go-to dressing formulas/patterns e.g. the "sandwich" that you referred to in this video: Color "A" for the shoes and top and color "B" for pants = A, B, A. (feet, pants, top). Thank you for considering this request.
@Gentleman’s Gazette - respectfully, Kyle, I’d say, in general, your sport-coats/jackets look too small. When I can see the top of one’s trousers, the tucked-in shirt, and a tie-blade showing below the bottom button of the jacket I’d re-evaluate. Perhaps the pants need a longer rise? Or wear a double-breasted jacket; the closure will cover up any gap that would show with a single-breasted jacket.
i still find it just fascinating that talking/interacting with someone who is well dressed and clearly shows that they care about their appearence feels way different than just talking to your friend in tracksuits and what not. keep up the amazing videos boys
Hey, Love your channel! (Sorry for my english). As a special request, can you guys make a review of Scorcesse’s “Age of Inocence” clothing? It would be so great! Greetings from Brazil. 🇧🇷
If you like to take suits and twist the significance around. Both ways you mention of fit can apply as fashion statements or subculture fashion. Zoot suits for example. If you’re a minority and listen to rock n roll, ska, jazz and other sorts of influences. Zoot suits can be done right. Or if you have short sleeves, short pants, that’s a 60s mod look. I really don’t think there’s only 1 true fit. That’s the beauty of suits!
Kyle preaches that fit is king - and I 100% agree. But that being said, Kyle always looks like his clothes are too small for him. The chest always seems super tight, and his trousers don't seem to flow. He doesn't need baggy, but a looser fit would flatter him more. And he should know that.
The content of your videos are always great, but you do not speak in an entertaining, vivid way as the others in gentleman's gazette. If you improve this aspect, you will rock!
Always good videos Kyle, just mildly disappointed you and your co-hosts are not each wearing a Santa outfit in front of the camera this month. Maybe an agenda item for the next planning meeting. 🎅🎅🎅
Lots of comments on Kyles tight clothes, it's because of his barrel chest, very difficult to dress that frame. Nobody sees Preston, everything fits him too loose perhaps he should be more honest on his narrow shoulders. Returning to Kyle, his physique is akin a body builder (modern type, not vintage), suits don't flatter him, have you seen the rock Dwayne?
I have to say, I'm not usually a fan of the bowtie except with a tuxedo, but there's some stylish-looking bowties, here.

Please do a video on finding a good fit while shopping. It would be a real time saver.
There are a lot of very useful tips for you in this video: www.gentlemansgazette.com/thrift-store-tips-tricks/?

I will skip getting my underwear altered, thank you (-:
Would love to see a video about determining good fit while shopping, especially without having to make trips to the fitting room.
I don't think that can be done. Approximate? Yes. "Good Fit" - No.

Elegant of course 😊
Probably the best fashion channel (and RMRS).
Much better than the other ones…and you know which other ones I’m talking about.
Good job, Kyle. Enjoyed the video. Thanks

He never listens, he must like it that way. It's hypocritical in this case, again. It's always all over the comments
True
I'm confused with what is said and what is displayed, it doesn't match or is it just me?
He is obese
Haven't seen Kyle the Style in a while
Preston’s dressin’ is interestin’
Help! Need a "European " style suit for work but I'm a little portly. How do I pull that off? Suggestions on where to buy in Florida?
Thank you all for this. Is there any chance you can all do a guide or something for styles for larger men.
Great video 🙏

He illustrates the modern fashion of the new interpretation of classical, for me , I'll stay with the traditional ......

A Pirates of the Caribbean reference... 🤣🤣🤣
Some alteration tailors can be bad. They think they know. In reality they struggle with knowledge of fit.
❤❤❤❤
Unfortunately it doesn't matter what I wear, living in Japan as a foreigner, people will state at me if I wear a gross hoodie or a well dressed suit.
Then wear the suit!

I wear +1 size up for comfort! Suit, shirt, shoes! I cant afford bespoke! 🦃

How can he talk about fot iv his shirt does not even fit
Very monotonous

I guess we'll have to keep our time traveling secrets to ourselves 😉
No offense to the guy, bit you should probably not use Preston to demonstrate proper fit
Please go watch an old video where Preston answered questions about himself and go back and edit your comment
I'm sorry but most of the correct examples are so boring.
