My cat gets inside of the fridge every single time anyone opens it and she sniffs around. One time i didnt even notice she went inside and i closed her in and only found her once i heard the meows. I check everytime now 💀

You need another kitten asap to recover from your loss. I lost my cat after 24 years and l was LOST, totally, until my sweet niece got me TWO rescue cats from Las Vegas. ( they were from a real "cat house!" ) Those cats-l still have one and my vicious "neighbor", took the other via live trap. I recovered from the loss rapidly, having the new cats versus going without. Honestly l suffered until l got the new cats! True story. More to it, than you probably want to know! Good luck

One of our kitties went for a swim like this once, but he wasn't spooked. During the winter he liked to walk across the cover and once we uncovered it he was walking along the edge and my dad reached out to pet him. Well he didn't want to be petted and ran strait into the uncovered pool. Dad fished him out and he spent the rest of the day sulking.
Hopefully he got to pet him and it put an end to your father's sulking
