    Thank you for the fantastic video, Vanda! Hands down, your video on making felt balls is the best one I've seen.....very clear instructions and explanations of things. The results of the first step were FAR BETTER than other videos I saw on this process! Love the "bounce test", too! Thank you and keep on sharing! :)

    Hi! Can't wait to try this :). At the end you talk about rinsing. How you typically do that? Thank you!

    • @VandaFSousa
      @VandaFSousa  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Rebecca! I normally wash my felted objects under running water and make sure I've squeezed all the soap out. In the end (especially if it's a bigger piece) you can also immerse the felt in water with vinegar to completely neutralize the soap.

    Thank you for your video…near the end of this video the instructions are to rinse assuming that we must squeeze out the excess soap?

    • @VandaFSousa
      @VandaFSousa  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not the excess soap, but ALL the soap

    How do you clean it? Would it be possible to infuse scent in the cleaning process?

    • @VandaFSousa
      @VandaFSousa  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! Any wool that has been wet felted is washable. That's one of the big advantages of this technique. Wash it as you would wash a wool sweater: with cold or lukewarm water and a mild soap. I don't exactly know what you mean, but you could perfume it like you do with any textile. Just watch what you use to avoid staining.

      Isn't vinegar used to wash away the original soap from felting process?!

    • @VandaFSousa
      @VandaFSousa  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@aleksandradedic4153 vinegar is added to the last water you use to rinse. It doesn't exactly wash away the soap. For that you should rinse well with clear water. Vinegar is supposed to neutralize the soap's pH.

    Hey Vanda, I need to make wet felt cubes - any tips? Really appreciate your videos, thanks!

    • @VandaFSousa
      @VandaFSousa  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey! I'd need more information about your project. For example: Should your cubes be hollow or solid? If they're hollow, how will you fill them? How big should they be?
      But keep in mind it's not easy to achieve straight corners (like in a cube) with wool. And the smaller the cube should be, the harder it is to get straight corners.

    If you make a felt ball, can you keep adding wool to it to make it bigger?

    • @VandaFSousa
      @VandaFSousa  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sure! That's exactly how you make a bigger ball, by adding more wool to it. Just keep in mind that it's better to add gradually to get good results.
