Anyone know how do that trill from 2:25?
It sounds like it is a (in Bb tenor) A to Bb trill fingering A and using the F and E key (and maybe the D key also) to get the trill effect
Awesome! Love it! What do you use for mouthpiece, ligature and reed setup?
I currently use Vandoren V16 mouthpiece, V16 3.5 reeds, and Vandoren M/O ligature
By the way I really love your tone and if you’re ever out in La Id love to get a private lesson
Thanks! I was recently in LA, did 3 nights at Catalina's with Joey DeFrancesco Trio. Hit me up next time
toyrobot99 for sure thanks man!
is this session anywhere for download or purchase?
Nope, just a clip from a live performance.
Troy what’s your mouthpiece set up?????
Currently Vandoren V16 mouthpiece with V16 3.5 reeds. In this vid, I'm playing a ThomasWoodWinds mouthpiece .125 opening with V16 3.5 reeds
Are you and Joey D coming to Michigan any time soon?
Yes, Aug 7 - Cliff Bell's, Detroit
@@toyrobot99ToyRobotMusic sweet, I'll be there, if I'm not gigging!
Hey Troy,
Interested in selling the Link you used at Jazzwoche? I mean this in the most complimentary way....I can hear strong influecnes from Chris Potter and Michael Brecker. Awesome!!!
Thanks. I never use it anymore, but I don't think I'll sell it.. Too much sentiment. James Morrison gave me that piece..
No! I want it!
@jazzway I heard that he uses John Thomas Custom .125.
Troy I am not your stalker. lol
wow! (sorry for being so inarticulate)
Did Tom apply those muttonchops with boot polish, and is that Peach Evans on bass?
