    Your explanations were very good! At 00:44 and beyond you manually entered the column width percentage value multiple times. In order not to waste any more time with this, right-click on the component and go to the option "Equally Split all Percentage ..." and choose the option that interests you (rows or columns). The row or column percentages will be automatically adjusted.

      Yes, I think this was introduced in Delphi 10 or 11 - great tip.

    There is been a veeery long time I struggle on making responsive forms. I knew other ways, but nothing so easy and efficient like you have shown. Thank you.

    The layout bug you mention is still present in the Delphi 10.2 Community Edition (2019).
    Very clever idea and makes you want to invent an app to use it !

    Nice tutorial! I wasn't even aware controls could span columns or rows.

    Hey there. Love the level of the video - suits me fine. Except ... I don't seem able to set the columnspan of the components I've added to the gridpanel. I simply can't find that property on the object inspector. Is it something that's disabled in the starter version of Delphi? Thanks, Paul

    Very useful but a little fast, I had to rewind/pause it a few times!

    I have a very abusive relationship with the TGridPanel😂

      Yes, it's great when it works, and for simple cases - but can be very hard sometimes to get it working correctly.

    For me, it is very difficult to follow you, because you change the speed of talking in an unpredictable manner, not connected to the content. Please use a more constant talking speed. Thank you!

    • @codegearguru
      @codegearguru  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Indeed, I could talk a bit slower.

    • @peterpanino2436

      @@codegearguru The absolute talking speed is not important - for that, I could decrease the video playback speed. Rather, a more CONSTANT talking speed would be useful.
      Italians and Spaniards tend to have an elevated talking speed, especially in emotional colloquial talking - but that is a cultural characteristic.
