Oh im glad it wasnt just my figure with the white paint type thing. Thats my only real complaint. I think they re-use the same body molds on the kaiju because in the movie they're supposed to be clones? There are exceptions though with kaijus like karlof, otachi, and the crab looking one that wants to kill little mako. I dont mind it that much though. P.s. cant friggin wait for that Otachi figure also gypsy 2.0!
They're reusing the mold because that's what they did in the movie/ it's cheap. Scunner, KH and Trespasser share the same base body. Therefore it allows NECA to get away with retooling the base to get several figures out of it. What with the "concept" Axhead figure. At least now they're running out of kaiju on that mold. Watch it be Mutavore or something next year- they could reuse that mold for a "concept" or make a Hardship

You seem to be in the know how on figures. Toys R Us has just put a "Pacific Rim 7 Inch Ultra Deluxe Action Figure - Kaiju Knifehead (clean version) - Toys R Us Exclusive" as it is called. I don't see the Neca site having any info on this. I have that tiny not so impressive Knifehead that first came out and I want to make sure I'm not buying that again. If it's like the Battle Damaged Knifehead in terms of articulation and quality then I'm so for it.

Just look at the Kaiju that appeared first and attacked San Francisco (Trasspasser/Axehead which ought to be category I ) next to category IV Kaiju Scunner.. not making any sense!
Well Trespasser has no CAT rating...And Scunner doesn't look all that big in the movie when you really look at it. At the end of the day these are toys, and the "scale" is hard to pin down exactly as it is. So eh...
