inZOI Might Be Too Demanding For Your PC. Let's Talk About It.

InZOI's System Requirements is kinda demanding, ngl. My PC's fans were spiraling like a helicopter. But you know what that's just the kinda game it's turning out to be. It's the next evolution of life sim, and they developed the visuals to prove it.

Haha, for sure. I'll say tho the demo still had a lot of optimization issues, so perhaps it was that 🤔
It's coming on consoles, which is good news. Hopefully, when the game nears full release, it'll be better optimize for lower systems.

Hey there, I placed a link to their steam page. It's also in the video. Although, I'd suggest tracking them on their steam page as that'll have the most recent specs in case anything changes.
If you're referring to the laptops they gave to content creators, I'm unsure. Hope that helps!

This game seems badly optimized. The fact that they have given out high-end laptops just so that reviewers could play the game is ridiculous. Casual gamers aren't going to have a high-end PC. So do they think people are just suddenly going to buy a new PC to buy this game? Think again.

@chrichtonsworld1 True! The game struggles with optimization as of now. But honestly, that's expected. It's unreasonable for any game at an alpha stage to be considered well optimized for most and for a variety of PC systems so early in their development. That goes for any game out there in early production. I think what appeals to folks, like myself, is just how content rich and functional inZOI is despite that.
Great point about the free laptop giveaway. While I don't have the most powerful rig myself, I understand their vision about elevating the life sim genre with demanding visuals. While I'm sure they'd more than love to appeal to a casual market that may own lower-end specs, to your point, their dev team have a vision of how they want their game to be played. If you remember, The
Sims 2 & 3 moved the needle in that way, during its time as well. Sims 4 was unique in that regard. Thankfully, it was recently announced that InZOI has a planned console release. The details are still pending.
But yes, I agree with your sentiments. I don't think they expect or want people to upgrade to play their game. I think their focus is to make the best life sim they can with the resources and vision they have. They gave those laptops to reviewers because they were under no illusion that their specs are demanding. They honestly did not need to do that. But that's more of a marketing ploy, in which, you try to give your game the best shot to run for the people you think will give you greater feedback (business strat & all that) 😅

There are actually people like me who are going to buy a new PC for Inzoi, because it’s worth it and the game offers amazing quality. What did you expect?
It’s common sense for a game to look this good quality wise that you can’t play it on your microwave- laptop.
If you want to keep playing on your microwave laptop then you should stick to the sims 4. No one is forcing you to go play Inzoi. But there are A LOT of people willing to pay more for an new computer to be able to play this beautiful, aesthetic game.

Honestly, the Sims 4 will always be a staple, and many people will find themselves back to it for a variety of reasons. It's accessible, well-known, and has nostalgia branding. I myself grew up on 2, 3, & 4. At the same time, I'm really excited for inZOI, and what it means for Life Sim games in general. I can't wait!

@@Simgamerloverx "you are poor, get fucked" is such a weird take...i see so many inzoi fans say that, as if that were good for the company. they need to sell their game to a larger playerbase if they actually want to compete. and for that they need to optimize it. because not everyone can afford a high end pc (i know I couldnt a year ago), and seeing coments like yours are really starting to paint a picture of what the inzoi community is turning up to be like.

Perhaps I'm a little out of context here. That's not what I'm saying, and I apologize if it comes across as such. I'm sharing my experience as to what it means to play games, more games other than inZOI that are graphically intensive. The unfortunate truth is that many developers have different visions for their game. What's great about the Sims 4 (not so much 3 at the time) is that it'll have a broad reach that should run on most systems. Additionally, from what we know of project Renee, it'll also be multiple platforms accessible, maybe even for mobile. Now, they'll be a Life Sim for a wider range of people. Let's cheer for that.
That said, the inZOI developers have mentioned that they are planning a wide release on console. Also, in an interview today, the main dev mentioned that they will be lessening the graphics overall to meet the needs to as many people as possible. Please note that's pretty unique. Most developers normally stick to their graphics.

Correction: Lead Producer Kjun stated on August 22, 2024, "While Unreal Engine 5 delivers top-notch graphics quality, by lowering the quality of certain key rendering functions, we can make the game playable on specs lower than initially expected. Additionally, we’re developing options that allow players to adjust elements like population density and vehicle count in-game, so they can tailor the experience to their PC’s capabilities."
