Twelve years ago, I left a husband who was a fraud. It was hard but so glad I did. I couldn't take him doing fraudulent things and using the name of the Lord, and putting me at risk. I respected myself and God more to take God's name through that. I was alone and really struggled and walked away from him, and the church that supported him. God has blessed me for this. Twelve years later (last month) I found out he did the same thing to another woman, the church disowned him, but this time, she is divorcing him through the DAs office and taking him for everything. Don't be afraid to leave a fraud. God will bless you beyond belief and then show you later how you made the right choice.

How does one justifies apologizing to God in private, and not his congregation in which the Lord entrusted to him? If you are guilty of a sin, a you repent of it, do you really believe that the Holy Spirit would have you to remain silent to your congregation, leaving them to think that you are innocent based on your testimony of in nonsense to them prior to repenting to God? Of course not, do you now see how foolish, and deceptive that is? The Lord is not a God of Confusion. If He confesses his sin to God he absolutely must confess his sin to the congregation and word. This alone would defeat Satan, in his life.
Can we all stop playing? None of us are perfect, but I believe God holds the pastors and ministers of his people to a higher standard. This man sexually abused children for years, lied about it and continues to lie about it. The people at new birth enabled this behavior because they refused to have set expectations/standards for people in leadership and refused to acknowledge the truth. As is most cases of abuse, the congregation either denied the information and proof in front of them or blamed the victims. The cancer that is currently afflicting eddie long can be healed, because God is able. He can't stop lying. It's ridiculous and sad how he said his weight loss was from a "healthy vegan diet". He's so far gone in his delusion and he's used to telling his sheep anything, so he thought they would really buy it. Then he's forced to tell he has a "health challenge" and he still can't get right with that either...his sheep love him, why won't he tell what he is suffering from? He looks like walking death. If you are guilty of a sin, a you repent of it, do you really believe that the Holy Spirit would have you to remain silent to your congregation, leaving them to think that you are innocent based on your testimony of in nonsense to them prior to repenting to God? Of course not, do you now see how foolish, and deceptive that is? The Lord is not a God of Confusion. If He confesses his sin to God he absolutely must confess his sin to the congregation and word. This alone would defeat Satan, in his life.

Can we all stop playing? None of us are perfect, but I believe God holds the pastors and ministers of his people to a higher standard. This man sexually abused children for years, lied about it and continues to lie about it. The people at new birth enabled this behavior because they refused to have set expectations/standards for people in leadership and refused to acknowledge the truth. As is most cases of abuse, the congregation either denied the information and proof in front of them or blamed the victims. The cancer that is currently afflicting eddie long can be healed, because God is able. In my opinion, God is waiting for this man to do the right thing, admit his sin and abuse just as publicly as he denied it, and ask for forgiveness from those he hurt. But I fear this brother is to proudful to do the honorable thing. Regardless, I pray God's will be done in his life and all the lives of believers.
He can't stop lying. It's ridiculous and sad how he said his weight loss was from a "healthy vegan diet". He's so far gone in his delusion and he's used to telling his sheep anything, so he thought they would really buy it. Then he's forced to tell he has a "health challenge" and he still can't get right with that either...his sheep love him, why won't he tell what he is suffering from? He looks like walking death. It's very sad. You can see it on his wife's face. I do believe he had inappropriate sexual involvement with those young men and he would do right to acknowledge his sins to God and stop lying and being prideful.
