The debacle of Kannada industry started when they stopped making original content and started making remakes! I think in 2008 there was more than 360 Kannada movies released hardly 10 were hit and almost all movies were remakes !
The money laundering agents saw an easy way to launder by investing in movies and convert black to white because of no tax policy! It’s the Kannada cinema

By now Kannadigas were used to watching movies in original languages because anyway most of movies were remakes.. so Kannadigas prefer to watch movies in original language now.! It will take a long time to recover from this! Thank god the ban of dubbing was removed.

Kannada industry never recognizes anybody for their achievements on a proper platform. Shah Rukh khan is one of the most successful heroes whose films perform so well in South India and particularly Karnataka. Almost all south industries have recognized him from their respective industries like TAMIL,TELGU and MALYALAM. I have not seen any such initiative from KANNADA. Instead they have bad mouthed him who is the biggest start of the country.
