Nice teams! I don't know if you've already done it but since I play primarily solo or two-player, I'd love to see a "Best Duo" video in a style like this. Cheers!
I’m trying to think what my team would be if I got your leftovers. Star-Lord Leadership - obviously an incredibly powerful deck, and Star-Lord’s downsides aren’t as pronounced when you go to 4 player, it’s pretty much all upside. He can thwart very well, and have massive damage turns with Blaze of Glory, and since nobody else will be Guardians there wont be the Blaze of Glory downside either X-23 Aggression - a dedicated minion killer that can also fill other roles in a pinch. We all know she’s a monster in general, but I think if you really lean in on focus on minion killing she can excel. Plus she can take some pressure off your protection deck by being able to block for herself without losing tempo. Captain Marvel Justice - Captain Marvel had to fit in as my Avenger (I did consider Captain America for this spot), as a hybrid Justice/Support role. Her economy is incredible, which helps pay for the expensive thwart events, she has time to build up her Energy Channels, she kind of just does it all. Gambit Protection - I struggled with this one a bit, there was some decent options. I considered Gwen because I didn’t have a web-warrior and she already has an innate readying ability, but to be honest I’m really sick of Gwen protection. Gambit has a ready in his deck to support perfect defense, cards to help him get there, and a starting 3 stat. I see this as a build that defends in the early game (a good thing about this list is most of my heroes can protect themselves early), and build up charge counters, possibly to also use on the defensive punch back cards. I wanted a protection deck that isn’t the standard “you’re Peter Parker, you’re just going to defend the whole game”
Oh this is super cool! Very excellent picks! Captain Marvel can be so incredibly powerful in a support role. Protection is tough to choose for, but I really like the Gambit choice!
Honestly this was incredibly close, but the pick of Cable won Nelson the draft imo. Storm + Doctor Strange is already disgusting, and while I think Ham + Spider-Woman can match that, nothing really matches Cable imo. I was honestly so scared Cable would go undrafted. He honestly would've been my 1 pick (in justice) followed by leadership Cyclops, just because Build Support can get out Uncanny X-Men for Cyclops on turn one and you just win. I'd probably pair it with Ironheart in aggression for dive bombs (and Cable helps set her up faster) and Captain America protection for either some stuns, protection ally build, or perfect defense depending on the scenario. If I couldn't pick Cable though (since Nelson already picked him), my Justice hero would probably be either Star-Lord for Problem Solvers or Deadpool for Overwatch + Yoo-Hoo. Both are just incredibly strong but also a little risky, but I think them and the other heroes are strong enough to mitigate the risk.
Close but Nelson for me. DS=Ham (both pretty broken) RocketSpW (4p support is undeniable) Cable>MM (starting the table with build support is just so strong)
Imo.... DS > Ham (both broken, but DS better in multiplayer imo) Rocket SpW (Storm support is so good) Cable < MM (MM has better thwarting by far in multiplayer, but Cable is better support - I weigh the thwarting aspect higher than starting build support) Overall, I think I like VT's list better, but it's really close.
@@QuiveringEye I've played Cable-J in 4 players. 3x Mind Scan and Making an Entrance give incredible value to Overwatch. Along with Even the Odds, he can main thwart very well (Also doing this primarily from hero mode). MM still probably has an edge but the difference isn't as much as you think. Meanwhile the value of everyone getting a T1 support is difficult to truly gauge but it's a massive snowball effect.
Yea Angel is a fantastic minion slayer for sure! I'm hoping that Cable can help get rocket set up quick and he can get the card draws to go to town! Build Support in a 4p game is crazy when it starts on the table!
Loved the video. Good job. Both drafts are awesome! I have to give Nelson the edge on this one. He thoughtfully balanced out his team weaknesses. The best teams are balanced IMO. Though Villain’s capitalizing on team synergy is strong as well.
I was on the fence...until Nelson revealed Cable. Two really great support heroes, storm having strong early events as well and Cable having super strong late game events. I think in a game with really tough early game pressure maybe Villain's less buildy team could pull ahead
I love both teams, for absolutely different reasons, but over-all I think Nelson picked the stronger overall team. Strange, Cable, and Storm are such a combo force with table-wide impacts!
I think i have to give it to VT here, just because of the Ms Marvel and Angel picks. Those are so top tier for their respective aspects. Ms Marvel Justice is my absolute favorite deck to play in 3-4 player, hands down. And the double web warriors was slick, honestly i knew he would pick spider woman after starting with spider ham lol! It was still tough though, Storm protection is one that i would have picked, and cable is always amazing in multiplayer!
Yeah, I have to go with Nelson for this one, although both teams look fantastic. For me, Cable was the deciding factor (and Storm Protection what drags it down a little. She's a fantastic pick for multiplayer, but I am not sure Protection fits her as well as other aspects, and there are probably better choices for the aspect). Meanwhile, I thought the web-warrior synergy for ham and spider-woman was pretty cool, although I think he passed up on the opportunity to have Peter Parker as protection instead, which would have also been a great pick for the same reasons as Spider-woman, but also probably a character with better economy than her, and which can comfortably defend for several members of the team.
I think VTs hero choices (aside from Strange) after the first looks stronger as individuals but Storm/Cyclops take the win for MP games being 2 of the best support characters in the game. I would also have chosen Cap Marvel for her command ability and leadership with Ham moving to Justice.
I think both teams are very strong. Nelson's may have the edge on teamwork with Tough from Strange, Storm's weather abilities affecting all of them, and Cable's side schemes, while VT's characters are so strong by themselves that they maybe don't need that as much? Also with Ms. Marvel and half of Spider-Woman in Justice plus the pig, side schemes will get churned through quickly there as well.
This is a really close one, but I think Nelson takes it, because as others have said, Cable. He's so good anyway, and everyone on that table will get huge benefits from Cable. I recently replayed War Machine in a 3-player game while my wife played Cable, and Cable actually made War Machine not only viable but really really good, because he got built out so much faster and more reliably. So when are you guys going to play four-handed with these teams and take them up against Ronan, Venom Goblin, and Magnetto to see who comes out on top?
Gotta give it to Villain with this one just for the Angel Aggression pick. Angel Aggression is insane, and with the upcoming side scheme "Keep Up the Pressure" he can pump out the damage right when needed.
How was Cable left for last?! He might actually be my first pick even over Strange for a team scenario. With how fast he accelerates the game, the other heroes barely seem to be build heroes. Cable swings it to Nelson for me, but great teams!
I, for some reason, kinda forgot about Cable until later in the draft.... he is super strong in a multiplayer game though and glad I was able to grab him!
I like Nelson's better here, that team feels very powerful. VT's team seems to have the best synergies having two Spider people. Both teams can for sure take any villian down. 💪 No love for 'Pool aspect though, I like 'Pool here for Spider-Woman.
So my 4 going off what you guys picked (damn you VT for taking Spider-Woman!) in no order I’d have Gambit Aggro, X-23 Justice, Drax Protection and Spider-Man OG Leadership.
Ooooh that is a great question! I think I would probably pull in Captain Marvel over Rocket? I think Rocket is a better minion slayer but card draw with Carol is insane! Then you could go all Champions and be broken with Go For Champions, or a few webwarriors to really capitalize on Web of Life and Destiny!
Hmmm I think the standard answers of Ronan/Venom Goblin could cause trouble - but maybe Red Skull as well, especially if you flood the modular sets with a lot of really high health minions which could give Rocket some trouble!
I’ll go with Nelson bc cable, but how did no one take protection Shadowcat? She just lets all the other players build and never have to sacrifice resources for their own survival
Haha Rocket with Dive Bomb in a four player game can get crazy with how many cards he can draw! But I get it - hopefully Cable helps him set up quickly!
Oh I thought it is team as web warriors, xmen, avengers, shield, x force, gaurdains, etc 🤣 Just rename the video to best pairing for teams or something like this haha
Nice teams! I don't know if you've already done it but since I play primarily solo or two-player, I'd love to see a "Best Duo" video in a style like this. Cheers!
Doctor Strange - Can somebody tell me what kind of a world we live in, where a spider dressed up as a pig gets all of my press?
Watching you gentlemen discuss syngery makes me excited for the forthcoming Nelson + VT + D20ww vs. En Sabah Nur.
Super pumped to try it! We have some exciting synergies brewing!
I’m trying to think what my team would be if I got your leftovers.

Great video. It's always nice to see how people come at team building. I wish I had all the cards and sets though to really see certain heroes shine.
Thank you!
@NelsonAllOverCards I was curious out of the 4. Which ones would you pick for a team of 2?
@@RubinParry Oooh Strange + Cable would probably be the strongest!
Going to vote for Villain here. I love SpiderHam and Angel in those aspects.

...Would you believe me if I said Doctor Strange is a weak hero? Just a conjurer of cheap tricks...
"Your powers are quaint. You must be popular with children." Ebony Maw was spitting facts.
You are correct though!

Boooooo! (just kidding) Angel Aggression is so bonkers!
@@NelsonAllOverCards For everything else I'd have given it to you. Can't help it if my love for Angel is bigger than my love for Cable.😂
I think Villain wins if he uses Spiderwoman with Protection/Pool all 5 aspects for the Win!
oooooh Protection Pool - I want to make that spiderwoman deck and call it "Lifeguard" lol

I like Nelson's better here, that team feels very powerful.
VT's team seems to have the best synergies having two Spider people.
