I just finished watching the series today. I always use to watch this with my mom. It was one of many things we did and still do. I love the characters. The fashion, I love it!! I need to watch the reunion now.
Dynasty a copycat of Dallas. Dallas lasted 14 seasons. Dynasty 9 seasons. It's spin off show Knots Landing also last 14 seasons. Dynasty spin off show The Colbys lasted 2 seasons. Patrick Duffy and Linda Gray considered Larry Hagman their Best Friend for 35 years. Dallas had an incredible group of working actors and actress. Dynasty they didn't get along that well. Dallas had 4 TV Movies after show ended. Dallas reboot in 2012 had Hagman, Gray , Duffy invited back to their roles. Dynasty reboot replaced the original actors and actresses with new ones.
Did you know guys although iam Arabic lady citizen this tv series our favorite we watched when we’re kids in Arabic subtitle ihope there are special TH-cam channels for old tv American series to remind us of beautiful childhood memories

John and Joan hated the script for the Reunion. Understandable. The inside of the mansion (they couldn’t afford to build at least the staircase and entrance?), Colbyco is now Colby Enterprises, Krystle is now trying to kill Blake via hypnosis, crappy Adam recast, Fallon is still not Pamela Sue, the lamest of all the Alexis Krystle fights. Ugh the list goes on. It only served to tie up the loose ends of the series ending.
It didn't even do that I'm afraid. Sable does not appear and Miles is suddenly back in Fallon's life. The mini series is ok but it's not really Dynasty.

Why doesn’t someone show reruns of this starting from the beginning all the way to the end including The Colby’s also, I loved both shows so much, had to watch every week. Would love to see MeTV Pick this up especially on a Saturday or Sunday when there’s so much Sports dominating the Networks, I would love to watch again from beginning to end, my favorite show from back then. 👏🏼👍🏻💖
I know of 3 places where you can watch all episodes of BOTH shows, seeing as how you're too cheap to buy the DVD box sets. You couldn't be much of fan if you don't know where to look. With that, I'll leave you with this: "Your champagne is BURNT!"

And I’ve never had any type of Champagne but since you seem so well off do me a favor & donate the price of the box sets to a local Animal Shelter or Rescue Group for me.

Several inconsistencies with this: 1: Where’s Sable? She was integral to season 9’s storylines and was pregnant, yet Miles her son doesn’t even mention her 2: Dex’s fate is vague 3: Jeff and Fallon were already divorced by season 8 and were seeing other people, did they get remarried again at some time between 1989 & 1991? 4: Why is Steven angry at Blake? Blake had already come to terms with Steven’s sexuality years ago and was very accepting of it, Blake even told Steven to be careful and admitted his fears of him getting AIDS but without the ignorance only concerned and love for his son. 5: Sammy Jo being a money grabbing tramp again, she had grown up quite a bit by season 7/8 So many things wrong with this reunion
Omg I finally got through all 9 seasons!! Season 9 was hard for me to sit through! Horrible storylines and didn’t like how they did Dex and Lexie. Did not care for Sable or Monica and that love story for Sammy Jo. Horrible plots and don’t get me started on that Zoreli cop 😩 Happy to finally watch the reunion!! All in all I’m so happy I got to watch the entire series and I loved how loyal Blake and Krystal were to each other (I just pretend in the earlier seasons that Blake did not force himself Krystal 😵💫). Joan Collins was born to play Alexis Carrington, she was incredible to watch. I actually liked Linda Evans portrayal of her love and devotion to her husband, she was classy but had no problem getting and down and dirty to fight her family. Blake Carrington is the kind of father, husband and business man I feel in today’s world is lacking 😅 that man loved his family and took pride of the empire he built from the ground up. Wonderful series about power, love and family!!!
I was excited to find this after rewatching the 9 seasons again on Prime. How disappointing! This was an insult to the loyal fans who watched for 9 seasons with no resolution. It’s like a cheap Bond film. So many unanswered questions and the ruining of the ones we loved. Where is Dex? Sable and her baby? Amanda? Dominique? Zorelli? And Sammy Jo who had matured reverted back to the unclassy character no one liked. She was Reece in 8, Carrington in 9 and back to Reese in this abomination. Why was Blake in jail for 3 years? This consortium came out of nowhere. They could have wrapped this up in a wonderful way, but the writers blew it big time.
See what they should’ve done was really started where they left off in season nine because now we don’t know what happened I’m assuming everybody survived the fall off the balcony and I see Blake survived the gunshot wound
The new Dynasty is of the times...acting is just regular snarky, mean girl reality show level. The original has style, class and professional actors of that old Hollywood era. Sure the show dipped into silliness, but it was high entertainment and fun. The new one...meh. I've always felt that the reboot should have had all remaining stars from the original reprise their roles and any new contemporary actors be the next generation of the Carrington and Colby "Dynasty".
I think that would have worked better than re-doing, re-telling the same stories from the original, re-casting the characters. We all bought into the magic, glamour and even phoniness back then and it was fun...this new one...no. Really can't tell it apart from any other snarky-like show on tv these days.

I loved Alexis, Dominique, and Sable all of them were elegant and sharper than anything written on tv currently. I remember Alexis from childhood and her presence was larger than life nobody has done this afterward imo Joan is a forever goddess!

The original family members still caught in between loyalty to their mom, the evil Alexis, or siding with the sweet stepmom, Krystle (now in charge of the late Blake Carrington's oil company empire) and the new actors as the 3rd generation....setting up more conflict for the future of the bloodline.

Blake was in jail for shooting Captain Handler in the Season 9/series finale - though Handler shot Blake at the same time. Obviously Blake didn't die. :) There were 2 2-hour episodes of the Reunion. We don't know and will never know if Jeremy was caught. And Gordon Thomson was on "Santa Barbara" at the time and they wouldn't let him off to appear in the Reunion (the same reason Dex didn't appear; Michael Made was obligated to "All My Children").
