This is Rabindrasangeet ,Classical and Rabindrasangeet are both different ,but sargams are used in both ,don't get confused ,but what an honour to listen it from the Ustad himself.
I have watched him play the same thing in Doverlane music conference and Carnegie hall and many other concerts. With all due respect to the maestro and his sons. I know how they are the greatest in Sarod right now and maybe in the coming years. But shouldn't they try playing new pieces in the coming years? Dedicated listeners of Ustadji's work will agree. That he can play other raaga excerpts and less of these tailor made Rabindrsangeet excerpts and Bengali hymns.
Notice one beautiful thing: They play with foot position in front, but to respect the audience, they covered it with towel.
