I tried this, but have trouble figuring which way the hair is curling just by looking at it, I haven’t found a video that elaborates on this. I am only 4 months into embracing my curls after a lifetime of straightening (I’m 68) I love my new found curls!

Can you please share what shampoo and conditioner you used on this day? Also, are you still using the Giovanni LA Hold gel or are you exclusively using the NYM one? 😊
Hi! That’s so great to hear! I used the Giovanni Tea Tree shampoo & Deep Conditioner on this wash day. I still use the Giovanni gel with the mousse instead of hairspray. It gives a stronger hold. 🌺
I was waiting for something like this. This is exactly the way I style my hair, as in, I love to finger coil. But I needed to understand towards the finishing. Do you use a finishing spray, and over top of that, do you use the diffuser? Or do you use a diffuser and then spray as the final step? I was a little concerned because all hair sprays are rather flammable. I read the warnings on this particular spray that you used. Which means that if you expose the hairspray to the heat of the diffuser, you could be causing some other problems such as a fire. ❤
Hi! I use the hairspray before diffusing to set the curls. This is approved and performed in hair salons as well. Be sure to never use a hair dryer that sparks for any use.
Been looking for a video that shows what you are doing, how much hair to curl etc. my problem is I have really thick hair and my arms ache after a while...
Hi! I completely understand. Try the first technique I showed at the beginning of the video. Using a brush to smooth, then rake to create the individual curls, then a soft scrunch. You can reserve the coiling for a few key curls. 🌺
Hmm, this looks easy, at least you are making it look that way. When I try finger coiling, my hair gets stuck on my fingers 😂. Obviously I'm not doing it right
