It most likely stems from him losing his first love and trust in others too closely together. I had forgotten about her betrayal, but lying aside his girlfriend's memory got 'unfairly' erased. Plus she deceived him, despite any mutual romantic feelings she could have had that he never got to sincerely confirm. Then the director proceeded to lie to him about giving up his potential. Lie after lie he's had to stay awake and spend countless hours thinking about and reliving without proper justice. We can then ask why wouldn't he side with the Gifted students, but changing things for the better won't change the past where everyone around him uses him for their own interests and he is left feeling seperated. I imagine just when he thought he was free of being special and feeling forced to play hero, the program returns and suddenly he has to relive that struggle of disconnecting with his friends and feeling isolated again since they have come to terms with being Gifted. It's quite sad and lonely. I was already doubting his happiness considering how much he broods, evidence being the type of things he was posting on Facebook before and after discovering his potential, but to see so many of our suspicions were right hurts. Especially remembering how he started. But it's no surprise how he went from indifference to hatred even after the program ended since he couldn't escape being Gifted and all the negative effects/experiences it came with. Thinking too much to sleep is a horrible fate, I can personally atest to this. At least we eventually fall asleep. Poor Korn has hours to spend replaying scenerios and overthinking. And then having to face it all the next day and still come to an unfair conclusion? No thank you. Of course none of this excuses inflicting serious possibly long-term injury to his classmates, but I think it helps as a viewer to understand his story arc too.
Since This Film likes to add Plot Twist so much, here is my theory: Claire observes Korn with her potential, but it will be normal. Why? Because Korn himself believes that he did not do it Korn react automatically because he is brainwashed by Director Supot potential. Director Supot always have curiosity against Ms.Darin, and as a secret plan to destroy Ministry, he prepares Anti Gifted, he is the one behind those group. The Motive? If thought logically, Director Supot wants the upper hand of controlling the subject without the intervention of the Ministry of Education. This way he can direct the blame to Ministry and Ms.Darin on how deadly their method was and might overturn the position of the new head of Ministry

I think I kind of get why, since he became gifted he hated being one because his gift seemed more of a curse and since what happened to the girl he fell in love with it'll be hard to get back up from that, I think the darkness inside him grew and filled him with envy and hatred that we now got this betrayal. The slow build up though, not to mention the close up, the suspense, omg I AM LOVING THIS.
He scares me a bit. I don't know, I don't like him... yet... lets see what else he will do to ruin himself even more or do something nice for once in a good, orderly manner without looking and acting like a psycopath...
Honestly i am not surprised korn is behind all this, in season one there were many scenes that indicated he was lonely and needed someone and the only person he had which was claire became focused on punn and made it seem like she didn't care about him anymore, take the punn nearly beating korn to death scenario, no one even bothered to check on him and we could see there was a scene where he was covered with bandages and watching claire and punn together and punn never even apologized for nearly killing him now combine that with his sleepless nights and the various thoughts that will be popping up in his head. That a sure villain if you ask me

By this time, everybody's bawling over the fact that Korn is the culprit. Although of course there are some theories in the comments that I definitely agree upon, I am still lost that Korn would do something like that. Also, he knows what would happen after Nyx 88 has affected their brains-it's either that or he was just testing the waters- so it's pretty overwhelming.

Maybe he hates the potential he got that he think some might also face burden like him after having the special potential so he did this to shut the program down? Since we know from the first season that he really don't admire his potential and take it as a burden to him.

This season is so intense
I think I kind of get why, since he became gifted he hated being one because his gift seemed more of a curse and since what happened to the girl he fell in love with it'll be hard to get back up from that, I think the darkness inside him grew and filled him with envy and hatred that we now got this betrayal. The slow build up though, not to mention the close up, the suspense, omg I AM LOVING THIS.

Honestly i am not surprised korn is behind all this, in season one there were many scenes that indicated he was lonely and needed someone and the only person he had which was claire became focused on punn and made it seem like she didn't care about him anymore, take the punn nearly beating korn to death scenario, no one even bothered to check on him and we could see there was a scene where he was covered with bandages and watching claire and punn together and punn never even apologized for nearly killing him now combine that with his sleepless nights and the various thoughts that will be popping up in his head. That a sure villain if you ask me
