If they still stonewall, file a Department of Labor complaint under the LMRDA as a duty of fair representation complaint. DOL will investigate and make a determination and may obtain remedies.
I have a Pension grievance. My Local slow walked my Pension Application months after my first payment was due. Payments started coming months after my first payment was due. Then told me I would lose those payments because the Application took longer than expected. I lost a few months of payments. This is outrageous.

Depends on what your local contract says. We had time on the clock to meet with members, write grievances, prepare for grievance meetings, & attend grievance meetings. Your union is only as strong as your contract language & members enforcing it.

You are focus on the wrong thing? What was your violation and what do the company have evidence on you doing wrong.... remember they have bus cameras for a reason. Can you prove they were wrong in your terminiation. It is that simple.

At my job you have 3 days to file a grievance. Your union may be different. Ask your shop steward/committeeman or chairman.
