Nice looking watches I must admit, not usually into black watches but these alright. But the limit edition of 5'500 is a bit of a joke, could you really call it a limited edition at that amount of pieces made?
Hahaha absolutely agree. To me anything more than 1000 pieces shouldn't be regarded as limited edition. There is really no point for it to be. What's your threshold number?
@@watchat888 I think a company like Seiko can get away with a 2,000 limited edition for a popular model (but no more), for a company not that well known or popular even 1,000 is too much for a limited edition. But yeah I am somewhat annoyed at the 5,500 ''limited edition'' black Edition Willard, but I got it at a good price.
255 is my favorite, and the one that I purchased. Love the the round hour markers, and I find the case to be a unique shape, while not being too bulky.
Tried all 3 of them and found the Willard the best. Great review and a great choice. You can cut the strap to make it a single pass for a much more better fit. Loving this watch, thanks for making my decision easier.
@@watchat888 yes, absolutely LOVE it... Reminds me of my older brothers watch I loved growing up, the case is perfect... mine is 0141 of 5500.... my favorite seiko.... thanks so much for the review and have subscribed
@@darshansardesai6537 This turtle indeed has the shortest lug-to-lug amongst the other turtles that I know of. The other turtles appear to have 46-47 mm lug-to-lug.
i prefer 253 or 255, but that's quite similar to my 143. haha. not a big fan of turtle, not because of its design. more like it won't look nice on me. anyway, good review and the colour combo is indeed something different for Seiko.
Not exactly a Turtle - its actually a Capt Willard - famously named after the character from the movie 'Apocalypse Now'. The main difference between a Turtle and a Capt Willard, the crown guards on the Willard is more pronounced than it is on the Turtle :)
It is not the same case of turtule , is the Captain Willard case
Nice review. Any updates on the turtle after having it for a while now?
Does the black on the watch wear off eventually?
Nah the black remains to be black. Quality seems alright

Tried this willard out at the store recently. Definitely will be added to my collection this summer.
Sorry for being late. But did you managed to get the willard?

Congrats there Zakir Hemraj. Do you find yourself wearing it often?

Thanks there Arjun Singh. Wear it with good health and enjoy it.
Same here I went with the 65 one.
like all but without seeing in person 255 is my fav.
Just order the 255, hoping it will arrive soon
Congrats there. Has it arrived?
I'm waiting on my 255J1 in the mail... can you tell me the lug width on these?
Hey mate, the lug width is 20mm. So have you gotten yours yet?
@@watchat888 I've been constantly looking at the tracking number, lolol, says will be here Monday

@@bigdan2828ify Thanks buddy that means so much to me. And congratulations there on your new watch.
Just ordered the SPB257.
Got a 253 with an orange black racer nato
Personally I like more the regular series instead of the black but they look great.
Willard is lug to lug 41.6 ? Seems odd with 42 case sizing
Haha...yeah feels stunted. But looks good.
@@watchat888 the other willards seem to be 46mm, is this same spec or a different size altogether

Yeah, thanks TantheCase.

Thanks. Yeah, the turtle is a bit tricky. You either like it or hate it...hahaha
Seiko King Turtle bezel much easier to turn with gloves than this Willard style bezel.
Wow...thanks for the input there. Due to the shape of it's case I can see why.
I like the mm200
I purchased the the SPB253. That is all.
Good choice. Enjoying it?

Good to know. Thanks Evan Yaakub.
Turtle is what i ordered
Have you got it yet? Let me know your views on it.
Silicon strap makes an amazing looking watch look ugly lol
