God rewarded Simeon in a way because of his devotion to Him. Simeon had a close relationship with God and so he was ready but he had to have it revealed to him by God. Wow, if we could only be the same!!!! God is still revealing things today, we just need to listen!
I encourage you to look at Peter’s name again. He is Simon (Sy-Mon) Peter; not (Sim-me-oh on) Simeon. I don’t believe dropping the “e” would leave the name pronounced the same way. If it does allow it to still be pronounced Simeon/Simon show me how🙂
