its from the pvlace splice pack. he got midis in there that i often reference and use alot. highly advise you to check them out.

Anything you have in these VSTs can be made in any DAW with just the native devices. Its more important to find Plug-ins for your device chains like inflator, the glue compressor, valhalla reverb, track spacer, OTT, etc.

Sq8l doesn't work with Mac only
SQAL is a simple synth subtractive synth. That's cool. But almost any synth can get you there.
Tyrell is nice. Of all of the free ones, it's the one to get because you can actually program it deeply from scratch... if you want to take the time to learn. The synthmaster player is fine. Same thing, but there's a paid version of the full synth. If you know what you're doing, it's worth getting the paid full version. But it's DEEP. If you don't know, then don't bother with the paid version. Lastly, the hang drum synth... one trick pony... but you like whatcha like.
