I LOVE original MVC. So much charm/beautiful UI choices like the half-face character portraits to resemble your duo. Its just a GREAT CAPCOM game. It has so much love put into it
That is the highest level, still unbeaten, of presentation quality achieved by Capcom in this series. Or maybe in all Capcom fighting game realm. And this is such a leap from the previous ones.

OldManNutcakez MvC is broken as fuck but in a good way. You need execution and knowledge of the game's systems to take advantage of a lot of the broken stuff. The brokeness only becomes a factor at high levels of play and at that point it's awesome seeing the crazy shit people can do.

Magus12000BC you just brought back some high school memories. Mvc, sfa3, last blade 2, and samurai showdown were the games I played the most. That server was the reason I became good at fighters. The nostalgia is too real right now...
Marvel 1 just has this level of polish that Marvel 2 doesn't. Marvel 2 could have had this same level of refinement, but development was rushed, so it never got the chance.

These Something vs something games always were too fast and too crazy for me but I still liked them. Until this one. The next one was fine with the opportunity of picking all the characters from the series and a few new ones but the mutilation of several special moves and the 4 button system.... What a waste of a good game. The next 3D games just hate them.
Who cares how "good" the character is? If you're talented enough and know dope ass combos then you can be a really good mvc 1 player. This analytic stuff is annoying. I get it though. You play to win. Im just unorthodox about fighting games. I feel like you can play almost any character and be good.
The good characters can do more block damage or are so mobile that they get more chances to do their own combos. So their chances of winning are mathematically superior. You can use a bad character but still be a good player. But a good player also recognizes their character's shortcomings and understands that they need to do more in order to win.
Just depends. Try playing a team of Ryu, Felica, Shuma in MvC2 and see how that goes against top tier. They're definitely objectively better. Not that you *can't* win, but you'd have to really work for it and be better that your opponent on every level.
That's funny. Ruhit used hella macros on GGPO & Kaillera but cant do wolvie infinite in real life..... LMAOOOOOOO with that Stiff ass Spider-Man LMAOOOOO lets goooo mvc1 exposure
