WILL THE FIG TREE RECOVER? (Completing pruning of fallen fig tree at my off-grid heritage farm) *71

Welcome, everyone!
As some of you may know from my previous videos, I encountered a significant event this winter. One of my beloved fig trees fell. It was disheartening to witness such a loss, especially considering its stature on the farm.
In an effort to salvage the fig tree's future, I embarked on a pruning journey, aiming to guide its growth upwards in its new position. However, this task proved to be extensive and ongoing, often constrained by the unpredictable weather conditions.
The fallen fig tree exhibited a complex structure, with one section showing promise while another appeared weaker and less robust. Unfortunately, the tree toppled over the stronger segment, leaving the weaker portion as the new upper part.
Pruning became imperative to stabilize the tree and promote its resilience. The objective's to trim away any downward-facing branches, retaining only the sturdy ones supporting the tree's new position. This process not only lightened the tree's load but also mitigated the risk of another toppling incident...
Despite facing erratic weather patterns, I persevered, managing to prune a considerable number of branches before taking refuge from the rain's onslaught.
Fortunately, once the sun reemerged, I resumed my pruning efforts with renewed determination.
After all the effort and patience, the fallen fig tree pruning was finally complete!
Now, the cut branches await their fate in a designated pile, earmarked for a future bonfire.
Meanwhile, I seized the opportunity to address another fig tree nearby, swiftly removing any unnecessary suckers from it.
The task was quickly accomplished!
Although the sight of the fallen fig tree tugged at my heartstrings, it was imperative to provide the necessary care to ensure its recovery. Let's remain hopeful for its revival and continued growth!
