To be fair Vegeta staying for his daughter’s birth kind of makes up for him leaving Earth before Trunks was born and not caring that much about him until the end of Android Saga.
Fun fact with this arc the series adopted a filter that makes some lines thicker adds grain and much more. Thats why it looks a bit better. Besides that the team gave their all to make this arc as good looking as possible even in this hellish production.

2:05 is actually a reference to the after-image technique that was first introduced in dragon ball and occasionally used in Z. this back half of DBS references a lot of old DB content. I'd say you don't need to watch the series before the TOP begins but maybe after DBS is done, you could watch it cause it'll add a ton of new context to DBZ: Kakarot, DBZA, and DBS that you've already watched.

This is probably the best arc in super even with some of the complaints i have as major as some are are outshined completely by this arcs highs. The use of every character even if some are underutilised is a great breath of fresh air and allows for some dynamic fights we dont get too many of anymore. Overall looking forward to to the reaction even if it may drag on in places.
I am forever grateful to DBS for introducing us to beerus he is such a badass new addition to the cast, his VAs, especially the dub, are amazing and every gag involving him just lands like the goku "making him look" before pressing the button moment. I really am curious to see if they'll ever do anything super serious with characters like whis and beerus, theres bits here and there but seeing them go all out would be insanely fun to witness.

The fact that Buruma is full term implies that nine months have passed since Future Trunks/Zamasu. I feel the conception happened afterwards since Buruma was put through the ringer in the final part of the arc (squeezed in the Time Machine, got smacked by Zamasu) which would have been dangerous if she was already pregnant.
as someone who watched dragon ball first,its so weird seeing goku see bulma so rarely considering the show starts with the 2 of them meeting and doing pretty much everything togheder for years,i even expected them to be a thing if it ever got to that,bulma even coments on being interested in goku when she saw him grow up after the timeskip
Zeno just using real planets in someone's universe as a fun game will always be funny but horrifying. Just imagine one day Earth is suddenly plucked towards Jupiter or Mars.
The opening does contain spoilers for this pre-tournament section. It's safe to watch from the start of the tournament proper though (Episode 93, I think?).

I'm glad Super Hero fixed it, but I was always disappointed at how young they continued to draw Trunks and Goten. I mean at the start of the Buu saga they were 7 and 8, and if anything Goten looks younger at this point than at that point in time.
About the new opening I would say episode 97 is once its completely safe to watch the opening just because thats the first episode of the tournament. Episode 77 is honestly way too soon for that opening. And its honestly my second favorite opening in the dragon ball series. #1 goes to dragon soul from dragon ball Z kai

Ok so if you want to watch the intro you can but here’s what it’ll spoil. It’ll spoil the team that Goku builds which mostly makes sense but there’s an odd ball pick there. It’ll show a lot of the other characters but most of them are either obscured by shadows or moving really fast. The only exception is the main villain, he’s show quite a bit. However it’s also obvious once he appears in the show that he’s the main villain. Also there’s a second version of this intro that starts at ep 97, so make sure you watch I at least once before then.

Goku 100% saved every single universe by showing up when he did. In the manga, the Omni kings were literally just erasing universes & fucking around. what they were going to do was just erase 4 universes for the fun of it before I goku intervened. It’s funny that every universe is mad at Goku when he is the only reason they were able to participate.
Production issues and tight deadlines are the bane of any creative medium. The team had less than 6 months to prepare the first few episodes of the series, when most episodes of modern animation can take upwards of 9 months to be finished. It took them until this final arc, aided by a small hiatus, to get back on track in terms of consistent quality.
I wasn’t expecting roshi to be good when I watched this but he carried the team heck. Not the team I should say the UNIVERSE becuase if they lost their universe will get fleeted away

Almost 100% sure that he wasn’t using Instant Transmission, he was just moving so fast that he was phasing through the air kinda like what Flash does.
