THE Moderator was OUT OF HER DEPTH- She kept saying to Starmer, can YOU answer to Sunak. She did NOT give Starmer time to EXPLAIN about the £2,000 from the start. She kept letting Sunak talk over Starmer.
SHE FAVOURED Sunak and his LIES!!!
The Country will NOT make their judgment based on a TV debate

I've noticed that whenever I watch the news, it seems like the media is always criticizing Labour politicians about the cost of various initiatives and proposals. In contrast, it seems like the other political parties don't face the same level of scrutiny from the media. It feels like there might be a double standard at play.

I watched the debate, and Starmer did try to rebuke the £2000 claim.
He even started to explain it, but I think he soon realised he was either going to be talked over by Sunak or interrupted by the person leading the debate when he was given the chance to speak.
I agree talking about the letter would have been lost in the noise of the debate. Better to wait after and let Sunsk be called out on the lie, which I counted he said 10 times (not including indirect references about tax in general)

Starmer did a brilliant play, because yesterday everyone spoke about sunak winning the debate with his lie. Today, everyone speaks about sunak lying.
Labour is polling so well because the population woke up from the lies of borries and the torries. Today, we literally woke about to the lies of sunak/ to every not completely newssource saying he lied. As such sunak just lost the ability to move people by lies.
Simply said starmar catched sunak and pulled the mask from his head to show the world borries johnson.

It was the same issue I really wondered about during the Biden-Trump debate back in 2016: Why doesnt the organiser have a mute button? He shouldnt be allowed to use it all the time, interruption is an essential part of a debate, but rather use it at specific moments. So for example at first the candidate has 60 seconds to awnser a question while the other party is muted. Then the mute goes off and the awnser can be subject to questioning. I think not only do we get a better quality debate, but also it will make the event a lot easier to digest because you have a clear structure. So 60 secs muted, 60 secs interruptions, then it swings to the other candidate and he gets his "free" minute and then that gets debated. This can be longer or shorter of course, its just an example. And at the end maybe the candidates have 10 full unmuted minutes to say antyhing they want that they didnt get the opportunity for earlier. Having this sort of "finale" can be quite exiting to close things off with as well.

You know that caller in this program early on said I was going to vote labour but after watching that I might have changed my mind. This is straight from the comments section on TH-cam.. I think this is how people try and persuade others to change their minds. Well done James in digging into his mindset. It's so lame. Desperate. I think it also shows how desperate people respond to farage and this terrible incarnation of the conservatives. They pray on scared vulnerable people. I sometimes wish James would be a bit less mean to them because they do represent a vote. We need to win them over. They are being lied to. We can't help them or ourselves if we ridicule them.. We need to open our arms and let them into our fold.. compassion and understanding. Stop making them feel left out. It's just fuel for the right.. but he was right to call him out..

I watched a TH-cam video about dealing with these hornets. A piece of weapons grade fly paper is used and one hornet is captured and stuck on the fly paper. The stuck hornet that needs to still be alive, releases pheromones to alert other hornets that it is in distress and needs help. Those hornets respond and get stuck themselves and release yet more pheromones. I saw this maybe two years ago and it was a Japanese bee keeper that used this method to protect the bee hive. This video should be easy to find for confirmation.

We had a referendum over changing to AV, which is a ranked system, back in 2011, but the change was soundly rejected.
There is a strong campaign for electoral reform, advocating some kind of Proportional Representation in the UK. Many of the smaller parties, such as the Liberal Democrats and the Green Party, support PR.
The devolved assemblies in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, and the London Assembly, all use some form of Proportional Representation.
Neither the Conservatives nor the Labour Party, the only parties likely to form the government, are interested in changing the current "First Past the Post" system.

This bunch of clowns have destroyed everything they touched! Voters gave them a massive mandate initially & they did nothing of benefit to anyone bar themselves. Unfortunately, I do not think for a second Labour would do much better for Britain. This country needs to look inwards & repair & replace the damage done. Reform might be that, indeed, as political reform is what is needed.

In 2018 Israeli soldiers shot over 6,000 Palestinians. In many cases they were shot with illegal expanding ammunition. So, did the present iteration of this problem begin on 7th October 2023 (1,200 casualties) or March/Dec 2018 (6,000 casualties) ?? And before anyone disputes the facts, its easy to fact check, and I said "shot" not necessarily shot dead

Rishi Sunak has repeatedly demonstrated why he is perceived as entitled, useless, corrupt, and untrustworthy. His tenure as Chancellor and Prime Minister has been riddled with controversies and scandals that underscore his inadequacies and questionable ethics.
Firstly, Sunak has faced multiple investigations during his political career. He was fined for breaking COVID-19 lockdown rules by attending a party, known as "Partygate," which tarnished his reputation and displayed a blatant disregard for the rules he helped impose on the public. Additionally, Sunak's wife, Akshata Murty, exploited her non-domicile status to avoid paying UK taxes on her international earnings, saving millions while Sunak was responsible for the nation's tax policies. This legal yet morally dubious move fueled perceptions of Sunak's entitlement and detachment from the struggles of ordinary Britons.
Sunak also retained a US green card while serving as Chancellor, suggesting conflicting loyalties and a lack of commitment to his role in the UK government. This decision required him to declare an intention to become a permanent US resident, raising serious questions about his dedication to the UK.
Economically, Sunak's leadership has been disastrous. Under his watch, the UK slid into a recession, with GDP falling consecutively for two quarters, leading to one of the weakest years since the 2008 financial crisis. His failure to deliver on economic promises has left the British economy in shambles, with high inflation and skyrocketing energy bills compounding the misery for ordinary citizens (POLITICO). Sunak's much-vaunted economic plan has failed to produce results, undermining his credibility and competence as a leader.
Furthermore, Sunak's policies have often been seen as self-serving. For instance, his recent investigation by the parliamentary ethics watchdog was triggered by his failure to declare his wife’s shares in a company that benefited from his government’s policies. This incident exemplifies the corruption and conflicts of interest that have plagued his administration.
During the recent ITV debate, Rishi Sunak falsely claimed that Labour's policies would cost taxpayers an additional £2,000. This assertion has been widely criticized as misleading. Critics pointed out that this figure lacks substantive evidence and appears to be a scare tactic. Moreover, Sunak's claim is seen as particularly hypocritical, given that Brexit, which he supported, has already cost the average Briton nearly £2,000, according to a report by Cambridge Econometrics (LeftFootForward).
In summary, Rishi Sunak's track record is marred by a series of ethical breaches, economic mismanagement, and a clear disconnect from the public's needs, making him an entitled, useless, and untrustworthy leader.

Starmer, as DPP, has personally caused the deportations of more fake claimants than the entire Tory Cabinet from 2010 onward.
He's prosecuted terrorists and war criminals, and incarcerated them.
Sunak's predecessor stole security documents and gave them to a KGB spy, then put the son of that spy in the Lords.
Sunak has refused to apply sanctions against Putin's lieutenants, and is still suppressing the report into Russian bribery of Tory MPs.
I know who I trust on security.

Tax can take many forms and affect different people. Inheritance tax is such an example. It only affects a small number of people, yet all delude themselves into thinking it applies to them.
Spending more is also no issue if the money goes where it should. Everyone knows public services are in the dumps.
