    What if my poor social skills take hold and I just sob at the interviewer for a few hours about how my poridge took two minutes longer than normal to make

    Your delivery is amazing! You seem very intelligent and well-spoken (omg literally goals). I wish I knew your channel when I applied to Oxford last year!

    oh my. you are absolutely NOT the CEO of last minute preparation. I am just done solving 15 papers with 4 to go and i have my PAT 2 days later.

    Hey my name i manav and I am applying to oxford to study physics, therefore will be doing the PAT test. I would absolutely love it if you went through more past papers. I saw your part 2 video of going through some questions in the 2019 paper I think and the way you explain it is superb. I found the hard questions much easier to understand and I think you can help me succeed if you do more past papers. Please may you do some more papers, I would be very very very grateful
    Kind regards, Manav

      Hi Manav. Unfortunately I don't intend to be doing any more videos on PAT this year. If there's sufficient demand in future I'm open to making more, however the questions videos are quite labour intensive to make with my current set-up, and I'm now getting busier as term starts. Apologies!

      @@Oxcentric Ok I understand but please please at least may u do only ONE paper, the 2018 one please or the 2019 paper, pls only ONE paper pls

    I have my interview at cambridge on the 6th, what resources did you use to practice engineering questions?

    Hi Sam, I wanted to know your opinion of the Isaac Physics Questions; would you recommend them? I've had people both recommend and not recommend them as they are quite tricky and apparently not so similar to the interview style questions.

    Hi Sam, great channel & videos ! Exactly what i was looking for to get a real true idea of the courses at Oxford ! Just wondering if you could share your score at the PAT and at the interviews ? Otherwise, are they any french student around in your course ? Thanks a lot for feedback - Eddy

    • @Oxcentric

      Hi ef1402. I did request my score from the PAT but unfortunately never received an answer. Additionally, I don't think any engineering students receive their interview scores, at least in my experience. I don't personally know any French students on my course, however there is a sizable international student population at Oxford so I'm sure there will be some!

    Hi is there any GCSE English language requirement to study Oxford engineering if u are a Uk student?

  • @santiagoarce5672

    The interview could very well make or break an application.

    • @Oxcentric
      @Oxcentric  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It very well could, I agree, however I think seeing the interview as the singular lynch-pin upon which the application rests can be problematic. I think fears about interview performance can put additional pressure on students over Christmas, which is when it's best to try and switch off from Oxford applications for a bit.

      @@Oxcentric From the info on the website, the PAT seems more important to your application. The website says that they add your interview scores to your PAT (or R-score) and then place students in bands depending on how well they did. But they might have meant that they combine your scores in some other way (maybe it's not just a straightforward sum). Since each interview is out of 10 and there's 3 of them, I would expect the interviews to be worth less than the PAT (100 points) if they are simply adding them together. This is for physics, by the way.
