Benedicta Agha hi!! i chose it because i knew i was going to be doing a lot of digital art with it so i thought i could use the extra room especially for multitasking/looking at a reference. since having this size i really appreciate it more now especially when i'm taking notes while watching online lectures for summer class! i remember the specs are the same for 11 and 12.9 so it shouldnt affect the performance, so i would just say if u really need the room go for the 12.9! but if not 11 works just the same 🙏🏼
estaylulu hey bb!! i say it would depend on ur lifestyle. and i'm only speaking from my experience and not as a professional :D if ur a college student or a student where electronics are allowed, the ipad really comes in handy when taking notes over your lecture slides presentation. i remember having to print so many lectures before and keeping lots of binders in case i need them in the future but going digital really helps!! plus u get the added benefit of physically writing out by hand ur lectures which will help u be more engaged with what ur learning. macbook air is definitely nice too! if u have an iphone and other apple devices the cross platform really comes in handy with airdropping files and having icloud storage. the macbook will be really helpful when it comes to typing out essays or long papers quickly, but u can also do this on an ipad but u'd have to get a keyboard and a stand :-) either way u can't go wrong!! ipad gives you more room for creativity like art, typography, and manual notetaking so if ur into that i'd get the ipad! if thats not necessary to u, the macbook is really user friendly and pretty much has all the tools u need for productivity and work!!
