I actually like this album better than the previous one. Lizzy is a great vocalist, she can sing everything and I think this album shows all the colours of her voice. The music is like... more grown up, I think. They did an amazing job with this album.
💔Despite never drinking and never being in a romantic relationship, this song is basically something I wanna sing to my family. These were people I thought I could depend on but they just constantly lean on me instead of helping.💥
I love this album, they really do a great job showing the diversity of not only Lzzy's voice, but the diversity of the band itself. They show that all members are amazing and have the ability to adjust to different types of music. Really outdid themselves on this :D
Knowing that a lot of Lzzy's songs come from a very personal place, this song upsets me even more than it would anyway -- it makes me wonder what she's been through and asdfghjkl; sadface everywhere
Lyrics [Verse 1] Headed for a black out, hurting like hell Finding my way to the bottom of the bottle Packing up my suitcase, leaving no trace One step closer with every swallow Deafening silence, that you liked me When you want me, saying nothing Not this time, I'm gonna say I'm gonna say [Chorus] What sober couldn't say Couldn't break through Under the influence of you Incoherent, truth serum Just enough to make me bulletproof I'm so over this love gone violent I'm drunk and brave enough to say What sober couldn't say [Verse 2] Criminal in my mind, I've been doing time Believing in the lie that you still loved me Making up for the slammin' of the door Always wanting more but never giving Sick of cryin', tired of tryin' Always buying into every kiss Not this time, I'm gonna say [Chorus] What sober couldn't say Couldn't break through Under the influence of you Incoherent, truth serum Just enough to make me bulletproof I'm so over this love gone violent I'm drunk and brave enough to say What sober couldn't say [Bridge] This is my intervention Getting your attention I'm gonna say I'm gonna say I'm gonna say [Chorus] What sober couldn't say Couldn't break through Under the influence of you Incoherent, truth serum Just enough to make me bulletproof I'm so over this love gone violent I'm drunk and brave enough to say What sober couldn't say [Outro] What sober couldn't say I'm so over this love gone violent I'm drunk and brave enough to say I'm over this, so over this
This song is beyond amazing. I can relate to the meaning, so much. It makes me cry. But lol, as I was listening to this song for like the tenth time on repeat tonight, I heard a little laugh at the end of the song hahaha. Turn your volume up in your headphones to hear it lmao
Took me back 8 years. That was a rough time. I was a side piece for a year. I was gaslighted into being too jealous. But after 8 months it turned out they still live together with her ex. After it i held on for 4 months like that i loved her so much. Then he cheated both of us with another she married right away. But she still came back after some time to fuck me. Then sneaked out at dawn while i was sleeping. Since then i am not the same person i was before. Fucked me up big time
Thank youuu guys for uploading all the songs with the lyrics here! You're the best!! :D btw, this album is so perfect!! I just can't stop listening to it, thank you for such a great masterpiece!
Why did I not have this song five years ago?? I've only just in the last 2 years found her... This perfectly fits, perfectly explains how at felt at that time 🤘🏼🔥🖤
As someone who likes a large variety of genres of music, I can say I do not hear ANY country like sounds in "Here's to Us". If you think otherwise, I think someone's been lying to you about what country sounds like.
I was not aware of that, mostly because I don't give a shit. But if it's true, as you say, you'd think she's be a lot more famous. I mean, I'll be the first to say J Lo is a hack singer and a shitty actress, but she sure the fuck did manage to herd a shitload of sheep into those arenas to see her big fat ass dance around a stage. And one could argue that her looks carry her more than her talents and perhaps this Lizzy Hale character has a much better voice, but then again Adele is fat and everyone looked past those thunder thighs and recognized her for her great singing voice. Which is beside the fucking point since she could have sang this song as well.
well as for being famous it's a matter of marketing and I've heard a lot of opinions but Halestorm is considered to be a rock/hard rock band. You can't expect a rock band to be more mainstream than Adele. And I know some people with hell of a voice who'll never be recognized, so do you. My point is that let's say J Lo would never pull this off live especially not the way Lzzy does. That's a fact. And Adele could sing this no doubt. She has a great voice. But she can sing only one style and Lzzy can sing hard rock as well (even tho most of their songs aren't hard rock but that's another story). I'm not trying to say that Lzzy is the best singer out there but she is one of the best and she can has more diversity in her voice and it's pointless to compare her to anyone you mentioned. (not trying to be rude I hope you don't get an impression of an angry fangirl i'm really not)

I agree i like almost every song
I totally agree with you! This album is amazing! :)
+angelam Lzzy
Lzzy and the band are simply maturing together and branching out to show their versatility.
💔Despite never drinking and never being in a romantic relationship, this song is basically something I wanna sing to my family. These were people I thought I could depend on but they just constantly lean on me instead of helping.💥

Best ballad on the album.
This song oozes musicianship. A tad softer for them, but damn good
Atratus Chaosphere Completely agree. Feels like they wanted to show what they can do with this album and I absolutely love it.
Great album. Dear Daughter brought tears to my eyes. Made me think of my wonderful daughter.
This has been on loop for me, can't get enough. 🖤
Lyrics
[Verse 1]
Headed for a black out, hurting like hell
Finding my way to the bottom of the bottle
Packing up my suitcase, leaving no trace
One step closer with every swallow
Deafening silence, that you liked me
When you want me, saying nothing
Not this time, I'm gonna say
I'm gonna say
[Chorus]
What sober couldn't say
Couldn't break through
Under the influence of you
Incoherent, truth serum
Just enough to make me bulletproof
I'm so over this love gone violent
I'm drunk and brave enough to say
What sober couldn't say
[Verse 2]
Criminal in my mind, I've been doing time
Believing in the lie that you still loved me
Making up for the slammin' of the door
Always wanting more but never giving
Sick of cryin', tired of tryin'
Always buying into every kiss
Not this time, I'm gonna say
[Chorus]
What sober couldn't say
Couldn't break through
Under the influence of you
Incoherent, truth serum
Just enough to make me bulletproof
I'm so over this love gone violent
I'm drunk and brave enough to say
What sober couldn't say
[Bridge]
This is my intervention
Getting your attention
I'm gonna say
I'm gonna say
I'm gonna say
[Chorus]
What sober couldn't say
Couldn't break through
Under the influence of you
Incoherent, truth serum
Just enough to make me bulletproof
I'm so over this love gone violent
I'm drunk and brave enough to say
What sober couldn't say
[Outro]
What sober couldn't say
I'm so over this love gone violent
I'm drunk and brave enough to say
I'm over this, so over this
The lyrics hit home for me. Was in a abusive relationship for way too damn long
I miss the heavy halestorm music, but this is a great album
Gabrielle Rocha Yes, I miss that too :S
Gabrielle Rocha I have heard at least 8 songs so far off this album, this is really the only soft one I've heard?
Que bom achar uma brasileira por aqui.

Best song off the album, hands down. Try to convince me otherwise. I will fight you lol 😂

Such a beautiful song as Lzzy Hale.
Best song of Halestorm
This son has made me strong enough to say how I really felt and helped me stick to it
This is definitely one of the best songs of Halestorm ^^ Love it but I couldn't get that there are no enough viewers. Maybe it needs a video clip!

cayla simmons this song really is emotional

I just love this song. So emotional. 🥰🥰🥰
Que música bonita. Toca o meu coração de uma forma tão leve e com tanto amor que me faz lembrar a minha adolescência
This album had some country, and I hate country but Halestorm makes it good!
+E'mon Harris I think "Here's to Us" sounds more country than this...this album had a few more pop sounding songs but I really don't hear any country.
+idlertire Maybe country isn't the word. It's more along the lines of country rock.
As someone who likes a large variety of genres of music, I can say I do not hear ANY country like sounds in "Here's to Us". If you think otherwise, I think someone's been lying to you about what country sounds like.
I want her to do a duet with pink

sounds Lady GaGa
Sounds country
Unrequited love is a bitch.
🤍🤍🤍🤍
Not a bad song. Definitely still more pop than rock though. Might as well have Jennifer Lopez doing the vocals.
JohnnySixString J Lo vs Lzzy Hale. Are you fucking serious.
Or Britney Spears. Katy Perry. etc. etc.
are you aware of the fact that those singers can only bow in front of Lzzy considering their and her vocal abilities?
I was not aware of that, mostly because I don't give a shit. But if it's true, as you say, you'd think she's be a lot more famous. I mean, I'll be the first to say J Lo is a hack singer and a shitty actress, but she sure the fuck did manage to herd a shitload of sheep into those arenas to see her big fat ass dance around a stage.
