Six years this year and haven't quit though. :D I'd say an aspect of the beach bob is asking questions in game every 30 seconds or so. Another type of player I've seen is those who play on a pvp server and then don't understand why they got raided or there dino got killed. I'd say possibly the PVE-er. Simply because when you play a lot of serious pvp, you don't get attached to your creatures as easily, it's a tool and a tool you will probably lose. PVE-ers get really attached to their dinos.
Yep! I am a pve'er I totally agree I had a lvl 206 pteradon which was blue and purple! When i tamed it, the guy was just lvl 2.. So i manually leveled him up... But when i got my black and white argentevis, i saw another argentevis killing my pteradon... I tried to save him but... It died..

You forgot one player type. The one who doesn't do anything to contribute. He just take everyone's things doesn't try and help during tribe wars or raids. And is most likely to be caught first
I’m what you call a “Collector”: I scour maps for creatures that look cool to tame, then i take them on journeys so i can find all notes, look for resources to build all the items i want in my base, i go artifact and trophy hunting to collect things and horde them on a single player world i build and play on when i wanna just enjoy all that i’ve done and collected.
I was the collector. I liked, and still kind of like, collecting one of each. I started as a benevolent god. I would protect the herbivores, both from carnivores and players. If my friend hurt a poor Parasaur, I would wage war on him. I named them all, and built shrines for them if they died. A lot of time passed, and I became the #6. Dinos are tools, the only names I give them are mutations stacks numbers. They exist only to be used against destroying bosses and obtaining more power. Funny enough my friend doesn't seem to wanna kill a Paracer or other innocent dino now if he can help it. I wanted a chill dino game, but the AI is so bad, it became harder and harder to see them as anything but brainless bots. xD
I’m a jack of all trades, I grind without the FML, tame stuff as surprises or to plan for my tribe,a leader, always there, and can give you what you need in most likely under a day
A few new added to the list, the RPer's who love to role play, the traders who will trade even those few rare tames for high leveled blueprints and reverse, the commanders who group up tames and use the new rts system, MinMaxer's who put all their stat points into one place, speedrunners who don't build a main base and fight the bosses early, and the sporting players who go and make minigames. Mind you the later one did result in raptor jousting and racing using the large gates as checkpoints, betting blueprints and cryo pods with tames was the normal thing too, I myself am in a little of almost everything role.
@@Raasclark May have been movement speed. The mutation into movement speed doesn't show and doesn't affect anything. This is why it is considered to be worthless. You were propably still able to see a statchange in the torpor because the level increased. Idk how this works exactly for tames but I think it should be the same as wild.(a set increase per Level)
You missed just one. The Modder. We redesign the game by changing settings and adding mods until the game is anywhere from slightly less grindy, to completely different functionally. And almost always more creatures.

I feel like I'm the PVEer I don't really care about levels just the colors, matter of fact I can level them up by killing things. Being this player is indeed fun.
Back in the day, when I played on Official Servers, I ran across an Alpha Tribe leader who would grief my small 2 person tribe. He would drop points into movement, get swamp fever which at the time boosted speed, and he would kill us over and over and over, just because he could.
I'm the beastmaster I learn every aspect and practice with every beast so I can be good on any animal I use obviously I have my favorites but separating me from my beast is the only way to kill us both because I panic on foot 🤣
okay so imma expand the list: Fibercraft bob: they may be able to play the game well, thought thats rare. They play mainly on fibercraft or overly boosted servers, and complain whenever they see servers with lower boosts and cant even think about playing on official. Mesher: literally what it says. They abuse any meshing exploits there are at the time. Insider: The type of player that joins tribes just to give them away to other tribes, or to steal everything they have for themself. Usually sided with another tribe or solo players, often doing this on alt accounts. The reason? known only to them. Tamer: Tames everything of high level they can find, willing to spend hours looking fr the perfect tame. pretty straight forward. also usually a baby killer/breeder as well
So.. I'm a fee actually here. I'm the PVEer. I like going around looking for the dinos with colors. Though I want good levels. I'm also the baby killer. I breed pretty much everything and kill lots of babies if they don't have good stats and or colors. I throw them into the lava(the island). I want the good stats always. I've been breeding rock drakes. Best stats so far is health44, weight 48, stamina 44, and malee 49. I've only been breeding them for about 3 weeks. Best colors so far: red, pink, purple, dark blue, yellow, orange, dark purple. Of course I'm getting all stats and colors on the males so I have an army of about 30 dinos. 10 male the rest female(plain) to keep breeding for stats. They will be going to tribe members after completion, and everyone can pick their colors and tame it on their own for the boosted stats. Still in progress though.
I'm kinda like an army ranger, going soloin a populated server and establishing a small hidden base before spreading out and slowly making friends with the locals.
The water dog. Guy who builds base on a raft and lives in the waterworks apocalypse. The philanthropist. Guy with a few modest bases near the beaches dropping free gear and assistance to noobs. The conspirator. Guy who grinds and grinds infinite mats. Builds in metal 10 layers thick with 16 layers of spike wall and never stops preparing for the raid that will never come.
I was almost always the fml grinder, but I worked 3rd shift and rarely saw my tribe mates other than on the weekends, it made me feel helpful just to grind bullets or cp, gun powder, etc. For an hour or 2 a day after/before work
I'm a strange sort, most of what I do is find the most efficient ways to farm stuff, then I farm an obnoxious amount of that, my prime objective is playing less, which is weird cause I have 7k hours
Oh boy. The PvE OCD builder. I usually get to level 100 with just a bird, anky, and doedic. I have to get my base built and all the things crafted and set up before I even think about taming carnivores and breeding...I am also a horrible person to tribe with because I end up being very controlling, but not on purpose.
Yep!
I am a pve'er
I totally agree
I had a lvl 206 pteradon which was blue and purple!
When i tamed it, the guy was just lvl 2..
So i manually leveled him up...
But when i got my black and white argentevis, i saw another argentevis killing my pteradon...
I tried to save him but...
It died..
I'm the pshyco that builds so that others have something to destroy
That was fun, I'd like to see one like this but displaying the different biome players, like the "mountain man" or "swamp dweller". Seems like it'd be fun
You also forgot the crazy mass breader. Doing things like raiding the dragons in the volcano with 50 flying shoulder pets.
You forgot the politician, the guy that manages to smooth talk his way out of any situation.
The video is very funny and the editing is awesome!
I'm sort of an army dude with a baby killer (I also call them "spartans", lmao. XD)
Thanks mate 🙂
I'm the army dude, toxic kid without the trashtalking, and the ocd builder

I mean, as long as your aren't the popcorn machine it's all good, right?
PVE player, but I'm the friendly greeter that usually has a Beach Bob Starter Packet and a decent dino to give out to new players. Not sure what you call that. Lol.
I play pve on single player but I kill most things like baby dodos or invite people and knock them out for the dodos
Where can I find you at lol.
See, when you say “baby killer”, I seem like a bad person.
Your right.
You did froget mafia boss status where you run the sever
That’s my tribe 💯 lmao pretty much the server is run by us and any base we find is raided by us. We have stolen a few wayverns some rexs and a bunch more stuff. I kinda feel bad but I mean their fault for being inactive for 8 days ig lmao
@@ryleighmarcum1904 punjab was that they were op they were the best tribe ever
@@ryleighmarcum1904 Your Alpha, And can't spell Wyvern's lmao What server are you on I'll Constantly 🤣 Wipe you with tek and I'm tribe leader of a 8 man tribe.
I laughed so hard when you brought out the popcorn maker. I swear when you go raiding sometimes dudes be pre-emptively popcorning their stuff before you've drained one turret.
You forgot one player type.
The one who doesn't do anything to contribute. He just take everyone's things doesn't try and help during tribe wars or raids. And is most likely to be caught first
I’m a PVEer who plays on PVP servers and tries to make friends. Made friends with quite a few powerful players and a quite a few new ones, too.
You forgot caution Carl, the one that the moment they see a Dino that deals damage runs away
I wanted a chill dino game, but the AI is so bad, it became harder and harder to see them as anything but brainless bots. xD
I’m a jack of all trades, I grind without the FML, tame stuff as surprises or to plan for my tribe,a leader, always there, and can give you what you need in most likely under a day
*laughs in singleplayer*
A few new added to the list, the RPer's who love to role play, the traders who will trade even those few rare tames for high leveled blueprints and reverse, the commanders who group up tames and use the new rts system, MinMaxer's who put all their stat points into one place, speedrunners who don't build a main base and fight the bosses early, and the sporting players who go and make minigames.
Mind you the later one did result in raptor jousting and racing using the large gates as checkpoints, betting blueprints and cryo pods with tames was the normal thing too, I myself am in a little of almost everything role.
In pvp, ocd builders needs an entire tribe to build impenetrable defences so their perfect structures never get demolished.
I'm a PVEr or a grinder but sure I love grinding materials yo get better slowly but surely.
I always get really far in ark, but never had TEK gear
Wow you're videos are so good. This channel is so underrated
Ah thanks mate 👍
wtf a color mutation in torpor? how long have you been playing this game raasclark?
A while lol. Youve never had one?
@@Raasclark You can't mutate torpor. It depends on the level of the creature.
Edit: I should be right about this. I am the baby killer.
@@Creeperking-bw7wi I could be wrong but im convinced I've had points in torpor before. Got me wondering now!
I'm the forever alone pvper because I can do everything except find a tribemate at my pace
You missed just one.
The Modder.
We redesign the game by changing settings and adding mods until the game is anywhere from slightly less grindy, to completely different functionally.
And almost always more creatures.
I feel like we forgot the most important type here. The guys who Automate EVERYTHING.
Im more The Tribe Leader, i tell my tribemates to do things, mdanwhile, i build the base that will get raided in 3 days because they didnt farm enough ammo
Very nice. Brought on some chuckles for sure.
Thanks mate 😅
I'd say I'm a bit unique only because I'm a nomad and always on the move
Raft or Parry
I pump max movement speed and keep a gili suit on
you didnt have to attack me like that with the ocd builder
Haha! I'm attacking myself too
LOL I was gonna ask you who were you
Why did the beach bob sound like the most promising? (I am a beach bob) If I go into the woods the dinos will get me. I don't tame dodos though. I don't actually tame anything.
Me just wanting to play with dinosaurs, prehistoric creatures and mythical beasts:
The toxic kid in my tribe about to start a war with the alpha tribe:
Play singleplayer 👍😏
@@BryanOfKrypton Or find a good PvE community where everyones chill and just wants to live & let live, helping noobies because others helped them.
@@misspurdy27288 that's also good lol I just like singleplayer better
Im a alpha and that toxic kid always ends caged or wiped so becareful with him
@@CarlosCastillo-qb8xo
Ik I got that kid on a leash if he steps out of line I lock him in a cage with turrets and threaten to banish him
I think I know a few baby killers... O___O
I wonder what the percentage is between PVE and PVP players. I bet there are many more PVE players out there, because most people don't want to deal with any of these types (which are very accurate I will say).
I'm a pve player that jams out on PvP servers and dosend mind getting wiped
I haven't even played the game, but I'm a "Lore Lord" in EVERY game.
Hah! i've played enough pvp on other platforms before I came to ark, which has effected the motivation for me not to be involved with pvp on ark. your identification of the types clearly defines the drama which I dont have time for, and causes me to remain single player.
you can try pve servers... there's a lot of nice people there...
but dont fully trust everyone, theres some toxic kids ho got tekted at pvp, so they go to pve to bother people, probably they feel powerfull or some shit
@@salvadorarreolarodriguez6165 wipes, THE WIPES
Pvp is for weebs
@@agustinmelar5496 yeah been griefed and reported by lame pvp players and had my base wiped dudes was a loser got me banned and never came back to the server i play on gen 2 now and have triple what i originally had
I would be the Architect. When i play with friends, they always leave the building design to me.... or at least in the beginning. After awhile they build their own wooden or stone plain box.
I know right no flair, my designs are weird and whacky but they are my art.
I feel like I'm the PVEer I don't really care about levels just the colors, matter of fact I can level them up by killing things. Being this player is indeed fun.
I myself breed for coulour rather than stats
That's actually a good way, only if your lucky cause yknow the mutation.
That’s why I hug a shotgun with a flashlight like a teddy bear
Another great video!
I'm the Stats/Lore Guy Lmao
okay so imma expand the list:
Fibercraft bob:
they may be able to play the game well, thought thats rare. They play mainly on fibercraft or overly boosted servers, and complain whenever they see servers with lower boosts and cant even think about playing on official.
Mesher:
literally what it says. They abuse any meshing exploits there are at the time.
Insider:
The type of player that joins tribes just to give them away to other tribes, or to steal everything they have for themself. Usually sided with another tribe or solo players, often doing this on alt accounts. The reason? known only to them.
Tamer:
Tames everything of high level they can find, willing to spend hours looking fr the perfect tame. pretty straight forward. also usually a baby killer/breeder as well
I’m the cartel man, my life… it’s all narcotics
Love this video been playing almost since release , spot on !
Thanks mate 😀
FML grinder- my sibling
Popcorn maker- everyone
Fake army dude- me
I’m a mix of the OCD Builder and the Lore Lord, except with an obsession for rock golems.
I'm kinda like an army ranger, going soloin a populated server and establishing a small hidden base before spreading out and slowly making friends with the locals.
please make more of these!
i subbed this is gold!
Thanks mate. What else could you see in the same similar style?
@@Raasclark maybe the type of raiders in ark or what not to do in an server when you are starting out
the solid snake comment got the like, would be me if i wasnt dying all the time lol. good stuff.
Im a raid tamer. I tame alot of things and i mostly build on Cliffsides so i have to cryopod my dinos. And i raid tame. I get millions of dein eggs
I was almost always the fml grinder, but I worked 3rd shift and rarely saw my tribe mates other than on the weekends, it made me feel helpful just to grind bullets or cp, gun powder, etc. For an hour or 2 a day after/before work
Probably the easiest job tbh
what about the tamer? the guy that tames everything, even useless things and wastes all your tribes stuff for saddles
I think everyone started once as a Beach Bob
I'm guilty of being each one but number 1 lmfao.
The new guy who's just having fun.
I'm a strange sort, most of what I do is find the most efficient ways to farm stuff, then I farm an obnoxious amount of that, my prime objective is playing less, which is weird cause I have 7k hours
Bro thats class lol im a cupple of them players class just made me day dude lol.keep the videos up cracking
Thanks mate
Oh boy. The PvE OCD builder. I usually get to level 100 with just a bird, anky, and doedic. I have to get my base built and all the things crafted and set up before I even think about taming carnivores and breeding...I am also a horrible person to tribe with because I end up being very controlling, but not on purpose. "DUDE, HIDE DOES NOT GO IN THAT STORAGE CONTAINER!!"
I myself am decent builder and only have essential donors. But my chest organization skills leave a lot to be desired.
I’ve never seen or heard of 2/3 of these players thank god
Im the ocd builder tweeking out over the cat walk. 🤣 good stuff man thanks for the content🤙
Thanks man. You're welcome 😊
Beach bob unity
hahahahahahaha "fml grinder" hahahah I have never been more accurately described in my life hahahahaha
After a rewatch I realize it takes all of these to be a solo chad.
Shoulder Pet Addict is definitely a player type I've noticed.
