I have a sick 2 year old and this video has been a godsend for taking his mind off things
My 2 year old son is OBSESSED with this compilation. Thank you for your efforts in creating this.
Mine too!
Same, what is it about this age? She didn't even know TH-cam existed I just asked her what she wants to watch and she said "trains" 😅
Mine too!!
They are pretty special ❤ im almost 40 years old and I love steam trains. They are very special
Same for my 2y old son, we watch steam train Videos Everyday!
"Steam engines will never be replaced and be scrapped!"
"NEVER!!" ✊

@@Antoniorailfandidnt hook up a dynomometer car to officially measure the speed so mallard still holds the speed record until you prove otherwise
As someone who grew up with Thomas & Friends this video is magical
Same here especially since I live in an area that has a steam loco come along the mainline once every year or so that I rarely get to see
I also grew up with Thomas & Friends Both the Model Train, Series and CGI Series and this Train Video is magical.
As a littlfe girl I used to go to the station with my boy cousins, packet of sandwiches, notebook and pencil, stayed all day train spotting. That was in Grantham and we regularly saw the Flying Scotsman rushing through, pounding in my chest, station shaking, whistle blowing. So exciting. Never forgotten it
Well done to all involved in this excellent clip! The magic of steam stays forever in one's blood, one's eyes, one's ears and one's nostrils! I am an eighty-year-young and proud South African, and watched our excellent steam trains regularly as they chuffed their suburban way from Simon's Town station to Cape Town station (slightly uphill) with their inimitable, hard-working chuffing which my grandmother explained was "I think I can, I think I can I think I can". The trains from Cape Town station to Simon's Town station (slightly downhill) chuffed a very different, faster language: " I knew I could, I knew I could, I knew I could". What wonderful memories!
Watching this is real therapy for me.
I read one comment that said at the beginning "A fine collection of British Steam". So my comment sort of fits with that one, and my comment is that I really enjoy hearing that high-schrill Whistle, which sounds British. Thank you for the wonderful video.
Black queens are always gorgeous and charming with white steams and green background.
Beautiful videography. Thanks a lot.
Amazing video. I use it to put my 4 year old down for a nap. He couldn't sleep without a steam trains soundtrack. 😂❤❤❤
I can’t sleep without something I’m voluntarily listening to. this has been a real lifesaver for me and bonus my dreams now seem to have steam locomotives in them now
Splendid video! I'm an American old lady & my dad worked for RRs from age 17 to his retirement. By age 5 I knew the names of all the freight cars and grew up riding steam trains around the U.S. I loved the smell of the coaches & sound of the engine idling in the station. Oh I miss those days! I will watch this video many times!
1Una alegría inmensa al recordar aquellos años cuando mi padre me lle baba de paseo o de compras en los coches impulsadas por locomotoras a carbón,son nostalgias muy grandes al recordar aquellos años.-
I have watched this video of steam engine hauled trains many times and enjoyed all the twist and turns with great enthusiasm and pleasure cos I had worked as a goods train guard back in 1971 to 1975 in Pakistan Railways. I wish I could make the steam engine's video but then I had no access to this current luxury of cell phones. The categories of locos were CWD, SGS etc. I still appreciate the definition uncle Fazal who had reported the station master of not hauling train after having attached many wagons from a cement f cement factory and instead worked hard to dismantle the arm with the big tool s

Sweet old lady
I love watching and hearing old steam trains, They are a beautiful piece of machinery.
I am a HUGE steam train fan and I have seen so many compilations and this is the best of all of them keep up the amazing work dude
Always been more of a diesel fan, 37s in particular, but after watching even 5 minutes of this, I have to agree, there is such a glory in steam😁. Beautiful footage.
These are incredible machines with grace power and elegance.
Excellent job of capturing British loco's in HD. Takes me back to my train-spotting days in the 1960's on the Southern Railway. Saw a few of these actual loco's back in the day! Great stuff. Well done and thanks for the memories.

Absolutely superb compilation. Brings back so many memories, especially the Merchant Navy class loco's Thanks for a wonderful post.
Steam trains shall live forevere most goodest thing mankind made! I'm happy for the prezurved trains that survived the 50s and 60s
Such nice comments for the harmony of trains❤
I’m an engineer for a North America class 1. I’m not into trains. No buff here. But these things are cool as shit. Came here cuz of a video I saw with a steam tractor. Read a comment that explains how Dc and steam both operate at 100% toque right out the gate. Pretty cool man
Please don't ever take this off TH-cam, my son with additional needs watches 15min of this every night before sleep, has done for nearly four years.. He loves it !!!!!!!
5:57 A truly beautiful shot.
This video has saved my Sanity so many times since the summer. My 3 year old is obsessed with steam trains (much to his grandpa's delight!) and this video has given me a quiet hour on many occasions, so thank you!
ค
@The Axel A train pulled by a steam locomotive is a steam train. No need to split hairs about the terminology.
Ikr? My toddler can watch this like he’s mesmerised.
same, my 2 year old loves steam trains! We play this at least twice a week LOL
@@michaelramsey82 There's a heritage railroad that would be about doable for me, Strasburg Railroad and I've seen videos of their excursion steam trains. Now, if you wonder why I'm here when I'm not British, it's because British steam taught me about steamers when I was a child who watched Thomas videos. Now, I watch them again because I got nostalgia. I also watch videos related to those, like ones of A Day Out With Thomas or about the basis of a TTTE engine and it leads me down the track to stuff like this. I've watched footage of Thomas in real life, as the narrator said. It was a real E2 pulling a freight train and the narrator said it was like Thomas pulling the Troublesome Trucks, except faceless.
Really enjoyed your collection. Nothing like a steam locomotive underway!!! As a young 18 year old GI in South Korea just after end of WWII I was terribly cold. So found a steam locomotive and climbed on board. We were headed for Pusan. W. as warm all the way but really choked as we went through a long tunnel (seemed if it was uphill). Had several trips from Pusan to Taegu by simply climbing into the locomotive cab, smiling at the crew and offering my flashlight ( check axels) and American cigarettes. Keep up the good work. john lannom

So beautiful. Nothing like that whistle and the train rounding on the track with all the steam trailing behind. I love watching them. Thank you.

As most 2 year old my son loves trains, but his love seems to go that little bit further. He gets so happy with tears in his eyes seeing these trains. Thanks for the video
Who couldn't love these little tea kettles on wheels? They roll with charm and elegance
What human garbage disliked this? The photography and sound is excellent, and you can watch it from anywhere on the planet, for free! Thank you so much for making and sharing this, EXCELLENT WORK!

They just hiney hurt cause they didn't get a Train Set for Christmas as a kid.. 😂
Every video on TH-cam has dislikes because they're knobheads.
I only came to the comments to find this. It’s crazy to me that 20% dislike it. why? Or are 20% of TH-cam viewers trolls?

"Give That Man A Bells," awesome video great selection of some classic engines in their natural element. 😎👍👏
I haven’t counted but I do think a great number of the locos we have just seen have been of GWR stock , well done Swindon.
i'm glad they're not all gone

Wonderful job you've done making this video, watched it several times, takes me back to when I lived in England and trainspotted at Hessle Station back in the 1950's.
Petergy in Hessle? I'm only in Goxhill. would of been amazing to see all this back in the day and I'm only 30!
Hi, I used to do a lot of trainspotting over in the coalfields of south Yorkshire back in the 1950s, and occasionally spotting a beyer garrat, my main area was around Retford, Worksop and Doncaster.

A very beautiful collection n the coverage of the serene n plush green country side.
Clearly a labour of love. Excellent knowledge of where to film, and so much demonstration of the power of steam. Congratulations on a well executed video.
If anyone disliked this theyre better off not watching cuz this is exellent
Steam haulage beautifully captured. Well done.
I love the power and speed! They're awesome! My grandfather was an engineer on the New York Central.
Nice to see steam in action across the pond!
Beautiful
Thank you for these treasures
Mate! Thank you so much for your effort and the great videos you have given. I have never seen a real British locomotive ' in the flesh', so to speak. The only way I can celebrate my heritage is with videos from folks like yourself. Many, many thanks and God bless. P. Sydney, Australia.

Wish i could go back 60 years to a lovely time .
I can Tony and yeh it was a great time, I used to go trainspotting all over England and Scotland, seen some great sights, back in the 50s, alas there wasn't as many `double headers` back in my day as there is on this video.

I heard there was a railway full of steam engines
No no I mean there is a railway like in 2020 that has steam engines
No I mean like it’s only steam engines like no diesels pushing them only diesel shutters shunt the coaches
So beautiful, thank you for this video ❤my 2 uear old is very hyperactice and these beautiful steam trains keep him very calm and amuzed ,he loves it ❤
Very nice I like steam locomotives!
The angles are terrific. I love the curvy rails from behind trees, the tunnels, etc .. and a few overhead viewers.
I love the video and the high def is fantastic. My grandfather worked on the Pennsylvania Railroad from 1908 to about 1952. Your videos bring his photos to life. Thank you.
Wonderful. In 56:12 is one of the best parts, drumming. 🥁🎼🎶😁

Productions, thank you for the precious video.
Happy New Year and may health and good luck be with you.

Interesting/entertaining. Excellent photography job enabling viewers to see 👀 the trains🚂. Travel thru different scenery.Viewing this presentation from the comfort zone of my computer room. Along the " Space Coast "🚀 of Florida 🐊🐊. Wishing viewers/R.R. employees/passengers a safe/healthy/prosperous ( 2024 ) 🌈🎉😉.
What amazes me the most is 220 years ago when Steam engine prototypes were being made is: Who thought heating up water to create steam in a pressurised boiler that expands and puts pressure on the pistons to create momentum. And they lasted for more than 100 years. Britain only began replacing its steam engines with diesel and electric trains in the 1930s. and steam locomotives like the DB Class 50 and 52 were the backbone of both East and West Germany up until the 1960s. But West Germany did not retire its final steam locomotive until 1977 and on the other side of the Iron Curtain the Deutsche Reichsbahn did not retire their last steam locomotive until 1988, a year before the Berlin Wall came down and 3 years before the Iron Curtain was lifted
Great video thanks for sharing it. Thanks.
Beautiful images on this train route!
great steam trains
Dear Sir, I really enjoy and love your steam train video.❤
1:36 felt like magic, steam engines in snow are awsome
Who needs ASMR videos if you can enjoy these babies ♥
@AXEL KAULBARS thank you for speaking for everyone.

Just spent a most enjoyable Saturday morning watching your video. You certainly have an eye for railroad cinematography. Loved it. Thanks!

Thanks for sharing such awesome video.
The best vintage track you could possibly hear .Ideal in the early mornings or late evenings especially in remote areas where sounds travel far .
वाह कितना शानदार प्रदर्शन।
IMHO, not even today's locomotives/trains can be compared to the beauty of steam locomotives
Watching It with my 3 year older too :)
This is an absolutely marvelous application of the wheel.
just found it march 23 wow fantastic filming thanks for showing
Very beautifully film. Nice train footage. Thanks.
Good morning JG, I'm new to ur channel & I love freight trains & especially steam engines they take u back in time
Mechanical art in motion.
Just beautiful everything in this video. Thanks for sharing 👍
Wow. Beautiful steam engines and great quality recording and audio! Sounds very natural compared to a lot of awful phone recordings.
Beautifully filmed.
Great video...thank you for the post!!
Thanks for the splendid video, certainly takes me back in time, the good thing about todays locos is they look good and are in great condition, back in the 1950s most of the locos were nothing like they are today, lots of locos were poorly maintained and therefore never fulfilled their potential and this was endemic to all regions, a vote of thanks must go to all who maintain these locos and also the crew's who man them.
The echo of the steam whistle from across the meadows & forests. Goosebumps
Awesome video!
Thank you for sharing a great video
This is really calming
Mooi treintje, In 1945 zag ik een van de eerste treins !!!
A steam train is like a living thing, it moans and groans and sings. I love them.

That's why steam engines are so loved, they feel like actual alive beings
@@davidantoniocamposbarros7528 I grew up on train stories, many where that comes true in the storyline. The Little Engine That Could, Here Comes Tootle and TTTE stories, the engines talk.
It's been 14 years since I last saw steam train in Myanmar. This was the only one in Myanmar.I really love and miss this train.I'm hoping I will enjoy that train in somewhere on earth one day.BCOZ I LOVE THIS TRAINS🚂🚂🚂
Lots of lovely Great Western.
Truly a wonderful compendium of British Steam and all in High Definition....a keeper of the first order!

I am a train enthusiast, It is such a delight to watch the videos; the characteristic sound of the engines and the whistle certainly brought back memories of my boyhood days. I rode passenger trains in Jamaica up to the early 70s and there were some steam trains on the lines then. Passenger trains have since disappeared in Jamaica ....It would be great if you were to add subtitles to identify the various stations that the trains pass.
Thank you for this.
Thank you very much - nice work
