Now you want to come back because of jealousy and want to destory region's prosperity - the US military needs to get out of Okinawa and rest of Asia. Japan will not forget the same trade war you destoryed Japanese economy leads to the lost decades and now you are trying to do the same to China. China going to concentration & labour camps to leverage their economy will it succeed in economy that could be self sustainable especially if it doesn't have population that will consume. Its losing work force without replacing them... May be robotics might replace the skilled labour? By 2045 the map of the world could be much different if USA refused to play with china

"China has no desire to spread Socialism [with Chinese Characteristics] around the world" Uh, wrong. Very fucking wrong. This video isn't even that old, but that's just factually wrong. The CCP as well as Xi have hinted openly that they seek to export the Chinese model around the world and to lead humanity. Not to mention their geopolitical and military moves around the world speak wonders.

I feel like all these "New Cold War" articles are missing a key difference between our relations with modern china compared to the USSR. The Chinese domestic consumer market is absolutely enormous, and a wide variety of US corporations cannot help themselves but bend over backwards to appeal to it.
US film industry, NBA, video game companies, and many others all either count chinese consumers as critical markets or are partially owned by one of the big 3 chinese tech companies (or both).
If anti-chinese sentiment grows enough domestically maybe they'll have no choice but to cut ties, but without it we'll be in a bizarre situation where many US companies view their largest and most important market as the one that is a strategic rival of the US if not an out and out adversray.

I think this paradigm will make the "conflict" change battlefields. We no longer deal with military power one to one. But we are dealing with an economic war. Control of resources, control of IP, information. These are the new battlegrounds instead of Vietnam, Korea, etc.

@TC 11 That's a big "IF" man. Hell, I'm not even going to say it's all the democrats fault. Bush didn't do anything to stop it either. This was 24 years of damage done and only our most recent President thought to maybe challenge China on the economic front. Now maybe the future is bright and the US doesn't completely bend over for China. But by the same token, I could also have a super model fall in my lap and gold bullion rains from the sky.

    • @WPSent
      @WPSent 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

@TC 11 Why would someone do that? Control. These people have no plans for the long term, it's all a matter of trying to increase and improve control. More jobs going overseas and more immigrants coming here? More people on the government dole. If you are on the government dole, you are less likely to vote for against the people promising to increase your amount given to you. Meanwhile those in power get paid the big bucks and they live in luxury. Obama just bought a mansion in Martha's Vineyard. Bush has his ranch in Texas, and Biden has several mansions in Delaware. Just watch AOC to see this happen. Watch this former bartender eventually become a multi-millionaire due to nothing other than politics.

@Max Payne I do not think that speed limit is imposed by govt in Kasmir, but by economic and technical issues. Pakistan and Irak have the same limitations. Pakistan even has electricity issues because of huge population compared to power production. I am Wireless ISP since 2006 and gave helped WISP on all continents. Even in rural USA people are limited to few MBps where my company in Serbia has 1Gbps download in second largest city in the country.
For large bandwidth you need large uplinks, and that means large investment, which means you need large customer base that can pay premium for some investor to decide to invest and wait a return for several years or more.

I do not have any emotional interest on this topic, so I do not claim anything, or defend any one.
I have since read about the issue, and I see that there indeed was a total ban on high speed internet, and that now they will allow it for customers that can be easily identified and held accountable for what kind of texts and videos they watch and share. Considering level of terrorist threat from Islamist extremists/fundamentalists sponsored by Wahabists, I am not supprised about govt reaction. Too bad that non-extremist citizens are affected, but fighting extremism takes it's tool on ordinery citizens.

The perception that everything is made in China is deceiving as the majority of those are consumer goods. The US is the most domestically independent of all of the first world with regards to food, energy, and war material. Any sort of prolonged conflict would of course have negatives in the short term while domestic production filled the gap but it would not seriously hurt the US economy in the same way China would be hurt. The South China Sea debacle is entirely oil based. China is attempting to source a more domestic energy supply. China still has major problems with feeding itself and likely would face sever famine in the event of a war. China is also facing water conflicts with its neighbors that would seriously hamper any war effort. Both would likely fight each other to a stalemate which is why this will never likely become a serious war and remain cold.

**USA vs China - Cold War 2: Electric Boogaloo

    • @brotherzacharyjongejan
      @brotherzacharyjongejan 3 ปีที่แล้ว

Please read the whole message, even if you’ve been saved.
First accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior; confess that He suffered and died for your sins on the cross. Then start repenting of your sins because we all have sinned and transgressed God's laws. Read the received texts like KJV and keep God's 10 Laws which includes Sabbath (resting from Friday Sunset until Saturday Sunset[7th day{Genesis 2:2-3}]). The Bible teaches that thee Antichrist is the Papacy. The mark of the beast is Forced Sunday rest & the banning of Sabbath [7th day] Rest. It takes courage to be in the army of Christ. The battle lines are drawn: you either choose God by keeping Sabbath or Satan by keeping Sunday. We will go through persecution and tribulation and Satan isn’t stupid, don’t underestimate Him; He can transform himself into an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14): He won’t be coming in like some angel of darkness and his ministers of darkness will portray themselves as ministers of righteousness. Satan is showing all this evil to then come in as the good guy for you to join in unity in error-but you’ll think you’ll be worshipping God. Satan uses a lot of truth and mixes a little bit of error for your destruction. People will think they’re doing God’s work when they persecute God’s Sabbath keeping people. My brothers and sisters in Christ in the Catholic Church, those in Sunday keeping churches and for people that don’t know Jesus but are looking for the way, the life and truth-please come out of Babylon and repent of your sins before it's too late! But don't trust what I say; read and study the Bible to find out. I know what I said sounds harsh, I’m not trying to be, and I mean this with the upmost respect and kindness towards you and all of God’s beautiful creation of mankind-both in the body of Christ and outside the body of Christ. God bless!
Sabbath day was not created for Israel: As God's people they needed to keep His Law's because God chose them. It was created before Israel and it's for all mankind who choose the True Living God, through His only begotten Son Jesus Christ. Us Christians call Jesus King, which He is: A King has laws for His kingdom; 10 Perfect Laws our God created, which includes Sabbath (A day He sanctified, so you can’t say there’s any day of the week to rest with God: The day He set is the seventh day), and are part of His character. So if you choose Sunday rest when it's enforced (Mark of the beast) by the Antichrist (Roman Catholic Papacy-read Daniel 2&7&8 and Revelation 13 for information on the antichrist and the core of Bible Prophecy to understand):you are then breaking our Kings’ Laws. Keeping and resting on Sabbath along with, if you can congregate, always will mean you are choosing God and His authority in your life. Choosing Sunday now, since it hasn't been enforced, means you're knowingly or unknowingly choosing Satan's authority. But many will say, well Paul and the others broke bread on the first day of the week... Yeah you should worship God everyday and break bread with your brothers and sisters in Christ every once in a while, but Sabbath is the day of rest, hallowed and sanctified by God: The Seal to His Laws. The whole Bible says basically if you love God then keep his Commandments. Jesus died on the cross (Grace and Pardon) because we have sinned (transgressed His Law's[1 John 3:4]). So it's all about God's laws and Jesus saving us from our sin (His Sacrifice to pardon us and to save us for the Transgression of Gods’ Laws). Oh and yes, we are free from the Mosaic & Ceremonial laws when He died on the cross, but not God's Laws (Ten Commandments are in Exodus Chapter 20): we still keep them. We are saved by God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ: We keep Gods’ Laws as a consequence of being saved. Love you, God bless.
The book of Daniel in the Old Testament is the key to truly understanding the Book of Revelation; make sure to remember that every day in prophecy equals a year (Ezekiel 4:6 & Numbers 14:34). Book of Revelation is a chiasmus {[Looks like this(\/)](\Historical&Eschatological/)}also; this information will help you to understand the makeup of the way Revelation is written, along with The Book of Daniel. God bless with your search for truth (The word of God, Ten Commandments, and Jesus is the way, the truth and the life) my brothers and sisters in Christ-ask God in prayer what truth is and to ask for the spirit of prophecy, and for help to understand His Word. People that say it’s okay to break Sabbath and to keep Sunday or other days is an enemy of God; however, many have been deceived and God understands, please ask God for spiritual discernment. Don’t trust me, only Trust Jesus Christ, His Word and His Commandments. God bless!
P.S. Look up Total Onslaught with Walter Veith and Discover Prophecy with David Asscherick: Two lecture series for those who don’t have any understanding of Biblical Prophecy and those that do have some knowledge of prophecy and the war that’s going on; other great lectures for you to watch are Rekindling the Reformation, Darkness before Dawn, and In the stream of Time-all by Walter Veith, also watch this wonderful series called What’s up Prof with Walter Veith and Martin Smith as they use the Word of God and apply it to modern things going on for the times we live in now.
It’s okay to hate me and I know I repeat myself a lot, that’s how important God wants you to know about keeping His Ten Laws including Sabbath, but please don’t hate the Truth- if it’s Truth, then it’s worth buying. I’m not better or wiser, I’m most pathetic, but because God cares about you and He is wanting seeds of truth to be in your heart for when you see the blatant truth of what really is going on, God shall be your growth and His Word a Lantern unto your feet in the spiritually dark world we live in. Please love your enemies that do great evil towards you, we are no better, we are all sinners. Please share this message if you want to.
      Revelation 14:6-12
6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,
7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

I live in China, as a French, I think western people do not realise how fast china is improving, developing, getting better and better at technology.
I also think, western people are fed none stop with anti-china propaganda, while life is china is good and improving a lot for hundreds of millions chinese.
    A few examples:
    - 0 crime, robbery, attack on the street, a very pretty girl dress sexy, drunk, alone, can walk with the latest iphone in her hand a 2am in the poorest part of the city without danger.
    - huge improvement in transportation, in a dozen of year, china has build 35.000 km of high speed train (which represent 80% of the world total), and plan to reach 70,000 km in 15 years. Building metro like crazy, each cities are building up massive metro network of hundreds to thausands of km each at an increadible speed (in Shanghai, since 15 years, they build on average 40km a year).
    - Huge collapse in extreme poverty: It was around 80% of the population under extreme poverty in 1980's, then decreased to 20% in 2005, and now It reached 0% (while It is still 1% in USA).
    - Huge improvement of social security, healthcare (+60% of hospital bed and nurse number in the last 5 years).
    - Huge improvement in air quality in the last 6-7 years (you can really feel It when you live here)
    - Massive investment in renewable energy (45% of the world total investment in these are done by China, more than USA and Europe combined).
    and so on.
    - Massive improvement in technology (from having shitting one outdated, to being the leader in many area such as 5G, quantum computer...)
China, is developping fast, and we will benefit out of this development, for example:
    - Technology and medecin progress that will be done by chinese scientific will also be used worldwide (your future disease might be cure thanks to the work of chinese scientist, like currently many chinese are being cure thanks to the work or European and American scientist)
    - Crazy drop in renewable energy is mostly due to massive economic of scale done by chinese factories.
    - Many export to China, which can help many economie worldwide.
So, USA should swallow their pride, accept that with 0.35 billions people, It is normal that country with 1.4 billions people become more powerful than yourself, European countries such as UK, France, Germany were before the most powerful countries in the world, we learn to live happily without being anymore the world most powerful countries, USA, do the same. And do not push a war, cold or not cold to China.

Great point on the lack of a perceived existential threat for the United States when it comes to China. This is a huge advantage for China and one it should seek to preserve if it wants to win in the long run.
Without an “us vs. them” appearance, Chinese coercion and influence will face far less resistance, because they can appear simply as a misguided nation or one “that doesn’t play by the rules” instead of the conscientious challenger that it actually is.

Good video, but not enough emphasis on China's dependency global shipping that US controls. China imports 75% of its oil, for example, the vast majority of which comes from tankers that have to navigate the Indian Ocean, Strait of Malacca, and South China Sea. A similar story w/ everything else from iron ore to corn.
It has always been obvious to me that a "war" won't involve US Marines storming the beaches of Shanghai, but a naval blockade of China from well beyond the range of missiles. China's power projection capabilities are minimal, and it's much harder to keep sea lanes open than to shut them down. The resources of the US Navy are more than sufficient to starve China of food and fuel. After that, it's just a matter of destroying key facilities like shipyards on China's one coastline. Game, set, match.

The one point of contention here is the nations near China you mentioned. Japan will simply not risk getting dragged into a war with China specially since they lag behind in military edge, South Korea again won’t risk North Korean and Chinese military reprisals for the Americans. Taiwan is at China’s mercy. The Philippines is growing closer to China and can’t risk aggression. Vietnam like Taiwan is under Chinese mercy. India is facing Pakistan and that card will come into play if it joins any foreign intervention against China.
So the fields are more Evan. No one will risk getting destroyed by the soon to be sole superpower in the world to prop up a dying empire.
Economically China has already won this Cold War, the belt and roads project has made China the dominant global power. China has the deeper pockets and dominates the resource and raw marital output (Africa) - Iran, Venezuela, Russia African oil producers mean that the Middle East isn’t important anymore for energy.

US / China = world balance, like the Taichi symbol. Both can benefit from each other's economy greatly and get richer. Competition, like the one between companies, will also motivate both to be even better, and the rest of the world benefits from this as well and will have more options.

This is more like the Axis versus Allies of WW2 than the Soviet Union + Warsaw Pact versus US + NATO + British Empire remnants. China, like Germany of WW2 is an engineering powerhouse improving and adapting much faster than the west (this rate of improvement advantage is much more important than the current balance of technology). When it comes to production, China already is a much greater producer than the Soviet Union ever was. China makes more steel in 5 weeks than the US makes in a year, 93% of the world’s rare earths critical for electric motors, Most of the world’s aluminum, half the world’s concrete all the advanced technology reliable apple products, and is the world’s factory. During WW2, the US was called the arsenal of Democracy. Today our GDP is largely services that produce nothing but debt instruments. And like WW2, control of the oil is the critical priority. That’s why the oil exporting Mid east and Iran are likely going to be where the cold war shit hits the fan.
China is setting up to present a fait accompli toTaiwan with no counterproductive invasion required ... as much chance of resisting as Czechoslovokia after Chamberlain’s peace in our time deal left them twisting in the wind. China will continue to increase presence around Taiwan and make any idea to totally reject China an unthinkable act of suicide for the decision makers.
Clearly Pompeo read the tea leaves and decided if he did not start the cold war now, then it would be too late. But he waited too long and instead of trying to ally with Russia and the federation, the deep state swiped Ukraine, hindered economic development, and cultivates Chechen Islamic terrorists.
Knowing China is ramping up a sophisticated million drone swarm technology designed to quickly take and hold all key points outside the cities, the deep state will decide to react sooner than later. Drone swarms will obsolete current militaries and will lock down whole countries overnight. Once this starts, it will move fast. Like Japanese soldiers in WW2 based overseas, most soldiers stationed far away will never return home.
The oil isn’t just for China’s needs, China will need to guarantee enough oil for their trade coalition, especially when S Korea is forced to choose China and Taiwan or the west.

12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

for anyone interested, I recommend Peter Zeihan's Disunited Nations for an easily accessible geopolitical analysis of the many major countries of the world.
In short, according to Zeihan, China is an overrated threat and in no position to become a global superpower. The reason for this being that the sole reason they have been able to achieve their current economic growth is that the US provided global maritime safety, which enabled all countries in the world to obtain resources without needing to send escort fleets of their own.
With the US trending towards isolationism (not at all due to politics, but due to geopolitical reasons - the US's shale oil production have been so successful that the US is now a net exporter of oil) due to the fact that they are literally the only country on the planet capable of being self-sufficient, they no longer have such a need for policing the global waters. To quote Zeihan "To destroy China, all the US has to do is go home"
With the US Navy going home, China, being a country that imports all its energy needs would have to send naval escorts alongside their merchant fleets, and even then, the ships need to shore at many countries along the way. The most obvious destination is the Middle East for getting their oil needs. This route from China to Saudi Arabia consists of many countries that had poor and even conflicting relations with China (India, for example)
While the Chinese Navy is quickly becoming huge, it won't be able to destroy and dominate all the combined South East Asian navies, including India and Japan.

Sounds right... but damn that's sad. Let's be clear here: If/when the US pulls back, a lot of innocent people are going to be left to die. The freedom to trade around the globe has been fantastic for humanity as a whole.

    • @tiaan7032
      @tiaan7032 3 ปีที่แล้ว

Maybe our definitions of self suffiency is different because I don't agree that the US is the only self sufficient nation in the world.
The US imports an enormous amount of goods everything from oil to medicine & everything in between.
Last year close to 10% of US imports were oils & fuels, 5% of total imports were medications + a further 4% which was medical equipment (close to 10% of total imports are medical related) - we see a trend of medications & medical equipment imports increasing year on year not decreasing. I suspect after COVID the US will re-evaluate this stance & try to manufacture more at home.
To be really self sufficient is almost impossible in the modern age. Many of it just comes down to pure economics & it actually being cheaper to import than set up those industries back home.
If the US is importing oils & equipment right now then just imagine how much it would increase during an actual war with a major nation. Of it can't meet it's needs during peace time there's no way it could meet those needs during war time
What the US imported last year www.worldstopexports.com/united-states-top-10-imports/

    • @yopyop3241
      @yopyop3241 3 ปีที่แล้ว

@@tiaan7032 Much of the oil we "import" is mere accounting. Canadian oil is imported into our system at North Dakota, a corresponding quantity of petroleum products is exported out the other end via the Gulf of Mexico. It shows up on the "import" side of the ledger, but it really isn't. Similar story with other commodities like Canadian agricultural products.
Even if we pull back the US military and stop acting as the world's policeman, this kind of cross-border trade won't be affected. So it's an overstatement to say that we'd be completely self-reliant. More accurate to say that we'd be free of reliance on trade via the oceans with countries in the other hemisphere.
We'd pay more for products that are currently sourced from overseas via ocean-going ships. But we'd save on the cost of our military. That's the short-term equation.
In the long term, these moves would address inequality by bringing manufacturing jobs back to the US. Outsourcing was great for CEOs, Wall Street, and the investment class, but it was a disaster for the middle class. Pulling our troops back and bringing manufacturing back would improve the tax base and reduce spending on social programs. Might help unite our divided country.
(On medicines and medical devices-- we could bring that manufacturing back pretty easily. Those industries have only left the US in the last 10 or 15 years. The US workforce still has the expertise needed, underemployed in other capacities in industries unrelated to their training. Some of the old facilities are probably still standing, too.)
Overall, this makes way too much sense for the US.
The downside, of course, is that if trade over the oceans breaks down, many other countries' economies are going to collapse. That's going to result in mass famine and widespread war.

For every carrier group the Chinese can deploy, the US Navy only needs 2 additional boomers.

you have to concider that Missiles may fail. Crews might be on less efectiveness. Saying that is very inaccurate

You first heard it here, Cold war Ii started in 2016 with Trump entering office and taking a hard stance on China and escalated tension super quickly.

In a large scale offensive the most decisive element is probably the number of payloads you have available to deploy. By first time in history the Us faces the possibility that China can have available a similar number if not more of them to be deployed.

China is currently doing to same thing the USSR did where they try to keep up to the US with military spending.
The issue is China only has one gravy train, and thats cheap production of non-essential junk and military equipment.
That gravy train leaves and they'll be sitting like Russia did the last 30 years. Its better to just work with the US.

Great video but you forgot that Imperial Germany's most important trading partner was Great Britain, yet World War 1 happened. Imperial Japan's main trading partner was the US and to a lesser extent Great Britain and The Netherlands - we know what happened there. So, I disagree about the influence of trade on this matter. I even think it might even be a causative factor.

THE US will need allies like Japan , Australia, Europe, India and many more. If the US can keep these alliance close economically, politically and militarily, then the US has a huge edge over China.

One country wants to give everyone "Freedom" like it or not has nearly 1 thousand bases. Other country just want to do business and has only one base. Choice isn't hard.

American largesse combined with American naval power and American bases are the only reason China (and other countries) can import and export freely. Without imports and exports, China would be still just be a giant North Korea like back in the Mao days.

The losers would be citizens of both countries and the families of the soldiers who died in the war. There would be rampant inflation and an increase in the homeless population. People on both sides would struggle to put food on the table and keep their homes. Banks and other financial institutions would prey on economically weak people. It would just end badly for everyone

The point is not challenging the US directly and influencing or infiltrating at a myriad of points, then move quickly, maybe never with weapons. However, in the South China Sea, an armed conflict is looming. It's a test of determination and allied support the US is able to mobilize. Next, Chinese support to Taleban in Afghanistan will pop up.

China has 4 times our population; the minute they are 4.1 times more powerful than we are, then realistically they’re ahead of us. Ive never understood the mentality of why they SHOULD be below us. We want their population to be 4 times poorer than our country?

Over a billion people in China and no progress towards getting rid of the corrupt, imperialistic, and downright evil CCP.
The CCP is the sole reason for people hating China currently. It consistently tries to bully its way into a position of power globally, regularly threatens war, commits crimes against humanity on the regular, and horribly oppresses the people they control.

    • @bluntcabbage6042

@StrategicFooyoo >brought them nothing but increasing prosperity
Prosperity by murder, oppression, and outright deplorable behavior. "We got nothing but increasing prosperity after the government started shooting or imprisoning all political dissidents, censored our media en masse, and started committing cultural genocide!"
If the people of China are okay with their government's atrocious behavior because of muh economic prosperity, then they are fully complacent and/or supportive of all the crimes the CCP commits regularly.
Of course democracies have corruption, I never said they didn't. China, however, is _far more_ corrupt than most developed nations who run on a democratic (or semi-democratic) system. Trying to pretend otherwise is sheer stupidity.
