- This is a NEW Small Waters Series that will focus on some of the North Georgia mountain streams and natural splendor of the Blue Ridge / Appalachian creeks, and flora and fauna of the surrounding area. There's no camera crew with me, so everything you see from the footage to the editing is just me. I'm happy to share it with y'all! Thanks so much for spending some time on the channel. Try using Berkleys rainbow colored doe in the little jars when the bit slows down. Trout love that stuff. They will start biting again, I promise.
Thanks. Just had a bunch of kids up in Holly Creek yesterday. Be sure to have the kids wet their hands when they touch the fish. It feels sticky because they are removing the slime. Fish and sicken and die even once released when the slime layer is breached. Have a good one!
Not to nitpick, but it’s “Co-hut-ta”, not “co-hoot-ta.” And any most of the fish you caught where you were fishing were stocked. To catch the wild fish you have to hike up Emery Creek a little ways. I live here, just trying to give you some friendly advice from a local. Glad you caught some bows, hopefully you can see some of the wild brookies upstream in the wilderness area.
Hell in Holly creek just put a piece of can corn on a hook , they'll bite every time

Holly creek isn't the wilderness and I hope all the fools that trash it continue to not find the wilderness.

I know you weren’t. I pick up trash every time I go fishing. I called it that because that’s what the National Forest people have designated that area. It’s mentioned that way in the research I did on the surrounding forest… that’s all. 🙂

Actually you are over equipped for that creek,a 4'8 to a 5' rod and a 500 to 1000 size reel would be more than enough for trout
Well aware, but it’s what I had in the vehicle at the time. So I used it. The Microlite was decent, I know the Abu is a bass rod, but I also have a Sage 5 wt that I’m learning to use 🙂
Beautiful, instructive video... but Cohutta is not pronounced like Cohoota, the u is soft as in hut.
I’ve since learned the right way to say it. It’s almost overwhelming at the beauty this amazing state has to offer. Arkansas is pretty… but Georgia is unbelievable. I am blessed to live here
I understand that people want to use music in their videos, but when the music and noise of the river make impossible to hear the narrator it is a fail. During the editing process this should be corrected. Way too many videos on TH-cam have this issue and it is very distracting.
