I think this movie did a great job so that the protagonist, Robert, he's trying to choose/understand between two different worlds, the police force, where he learns that Corruption & injustice is so prominent, and how the gay community of Warsaw are just trying to live & are not a danger to anyone. By meeting Arek, he gains a wider perspective on his job, the injustice of it & even on himself. As Arek says in one scene, we can't always run scared, we see Robert as the only one with morals and a conscience, and a real hero fighting for what is right. And he even accepts himself & how he feels, which is great.
It was a fantastic character piece, I think the screen writers definitely had a solid arc in place for Robert. It could of been a very generic story but through his eyes they made it something truly special.
Thanks for covering this movie! It quickly became one of my favorites from 2021 and it sucks that it is so underrated, specially when it's so widely available on Netflix.
A surprising gem of a movie. I highly recommend it. Gorgeous direction, cinematography and solid acting especially from the protagonist.
Absolutely agree with you, quality on all fronts!
I'm happy a polish film is getting recognition. Thank u for the great review.
Hopefully more Polish films get put on Netflix I want to see more :)

Ended up being one of my top 5 movies for the year, I’ve watched it heaps of times since it came out 😄
The only thing I regret about the movie is that I wish Robert should've had more romantic scenes with Arek. More drama and less thriller.
I did enjoy the drama side of this movie a lot, would be an interesting film if it went more drama than thriller for sure.
I enjoyed watching the movie 😄
Solid script and acting. Highly recommended.
