In Kerala, the month Karkidaka ( from mid of July to mid August) is celebrate as Ramayana Month. Reading Ramayan at temples and homes, SeethaRama pooja, spreading Rama story to people etc are main things doing this month.
Cultural practice like this is much more important and efficient then just building a temple......Moreover, trying to be just 1% like Lord Ram will certainly be more evident in an individual's life.

Well Sadhguru is right about people of other religions emulating "Rama", atleast in my case. I'm a Buddhist, from N.India and I emulate him, I became more and more enthralled by his life and character and ended up with Kambal Ramayana and Mahabharata/Bhagvad Geeta etc

That story is completely fake. Not just this story, there are many things in "Ramayana" book which does not fit into the story. Some verses contradict each other and clearly shows that the Ramayana which we read today has been modified.

Ancient epics have that ancient myth - like form - cannot be a modern way. Archeology today is proving authenticity.
