Proper memories for me this tune. Everytime I hear this it reminds me of a girl who was in my year in secondary school who I had a huge crush on at the time the record was out. My heart certainly missed a beat whenever I saw her! My mum bought this on vinyl and still has it and it's certainly my favourite PSB record.

This is my favourite Pet Shop Boys song. I go through stages of liking others and saying they're my favourites, like Up And Down, but I always go back to Heart as my all time favourite. Doesn't mean I think it's their best, but it's my favourite.
And the single version is fractionally faster than the 12inch version.

Is this where the slow demise of TOTP begins. Going in to 1989, they changed the logo again after only 2 years and would continue to whereas ironically it is readily on display (the classic roundel logo).
Look at the effort they have put into the Xmas decs and compare it to other years, when Michael Hurl left, it was the beginning of the end.
Their clapping and noise is intruding on their song/singing. Too bad. Let them just play the song! Great song though. Always have liked their music. 👍
