Thank you for the feedback! Glad you’ve enjoyed it so far, and appreciate the comment, really helps in keeping my motivation up to continue the role play and writing!

Nicely done. Looking forward to seeing more. The channel Three Skulls Tavern is also doing a Strider Mode solo play and his first or second episode also ended with the character falling and being wounded and dying. Its a rough world out there without a fellowship! :)
Matt (of three skulls tavern) is the inspiration for me starting this! And yeah, seems like Roll20 was in cahoots with Foundry to make sure my Player-Hero had the same fate as his lol
this is so amazing and incredible…..Really made me feel like I was a hobbit…..Can you offer some tips on how you go about planning what happens on each day ( do you just use the strider mode or any supplemental tables etc)
Im trying to learn the Strider Mode since I dont know a lot of people around me, and this channel is gold! Im so glad you have so many videos! I appreciate your hard work! 🤝 You have a new subscriber!
I hope it helps! It took me a few attempts (behind the scenes to get used to the idea of solo playing!). And watching others actual play. Mine is by no means the only way just one that worked for me, and something I wanted to share! Welcome to the Company!
I'm sure it will be very helpful, I also watched other channels but I'm slowly moving to the solo mode and seems like your channel is the one with a ton of videos. I'm hoping to start soon! Thanks for the welcome 🙌
Couldn’t believe when I failed both rolls. But was a great way to end the session and start the campaign! Fortunately the Telling Table was on my side! Thanks for watching!
I wanted to a moment and congratulations on the most EXCELLENT adventure!! I thoroughly enjoyed every episode of this series and looking forward to hopefully more adventures of Mr. Hornblower as he continues exploring The Shire. Your style and approach has had a great impact on how I see these types of "game" to be played and presented to an audience. I quite new to The One Ring and have been spending the last couple of weeks preparing Foundry VTT for my up coming games. I'll be applying some your approach and style of story telling to my own version of Middle=Earth. Once Again A Most Excellent story!! ...Opps just saw I posted this to the first episode when it should have been on the last...but it does change anything. 🤦😆
Many thanks. Appreciate the kind feedback. Definitely will be making more, just such a great game and the option for the solo play really fits in juggling time between work and family! Hope to get more content up soon!
Really good stuff here...lots of writing work it seems you're doing here, and it's good! Your video editing work is awesome! Thnx for these...subbed instantly! 👍🤓
Thank you! It’s been great fun playing the strider mode, and it’s been surprisingly fun writing it up. I wanted to journal the adventures, so figured why not write, narrate and share! Happy you and others are enjoying it. This is such a great game (and obviously the source material inspires!)
I've really enjoyed your videos and about to set out on my own strider mode adventure. I was wondering where you got your hex map from? I'm struggling to find one (I have the physical rule book rather than PDF).
Thanks for watching! I have the PDF’s so just taking an image copy from there. If you bought your book from Free League or even from a brick and mortar shop, check to see if their on the pdf sharing program. They may be able to give you a link to the pdf copy!
It’s from Roll20 which I’ve set up my solo (and games when I’m an LM) on. If you create a game, just search for the 2e TOR character sheet. There’s also a sheet for adversaries as well!
Thank you! The rules I feel really work well with the game… not much different in how you’d run a session with other players. What’s hard to get your head around is the idea of solo play. Took me a number of attempts to try it out before settling on this. 100% recommend trying it out!
Wow.... how you combine your narrative, which is pretty nicely written by the way, and the Rolls and Game Mechanics on Roll20 for us, is really, really cool! 🤓👍 If I might give just a bit of constructive criticism for your voice: You might either need a mic diffuser or cover, or you might consider turning slightly away from the mic while speaking into it. The breathing in and pops are pretty distracting. No offense at all, because it's great overall! 👍 Thnx for this and please continue. There's little to no LOTR RPG content like this out there that is family friendly at all. Thank you!!
Thanks! Appreciate the feedback. Agreed, I wasn’t at home for my first episode and had a headset on, however for the second episode used my Blue Yeti with a diffuser so definitely came out better lol. Hope to get another session and recording in for next week when I’m back from holidays… Thanks again!
Lovely! It brought me back to the early 80s with me, alone, reading my most cherished books...The Hobbit & The Lord of the Rings.
Thank you for the feedback! Glad you’ve enjoyed it so far, and appreciate the comment, really helps in keeping my motivation up to continue the role play and writing!
Great job, Ryan! Looking forward to following Folco’s adventures!
Thank you for watching! It's been an adventure for sure, happy you've enjoyed the first one and hope you do for the rest!
@@RyanoftheNorth Your example has inspired me to give it a try!

that was very soothing, thank u
Very happy you liked it! Apologies for the audio… gets clearer next episode, fortunately!

So much for Hobbits being nimble and sure-footed.

This is fantastic. Are the rules easy enough for solo play in your view?
