The Abyss, Event Horizon, and The Thing haha. I loved it!! I really hope there continues to be plenty more in this universe.
For anyone confused, these stories in particular seem to be based around giant creatures, paradoxes and possible time travel.
I can't say for certain, though.
I stand corrected. Not time travel for the last story. Maybe a bit combined with the paradox of the second story, but the last story seems to be sheer madness.
These days it is difficult to find writing as good as this on YT. I can't wait to find out what happens next! Thank you.
Yeah unfortunately there is some pretty cheesy stuff out there, I can't blame the narrators for that, unless they wrote it of course, not every wrier is a good narrator, that's pretty rare , unless you're a Jordon GRUPE,
The Derelict series is what got me into your channel and it is by far the best sci fi world building I have ever experienced, I'm holding out hope the author makes more in the future.

I was thinking the same thing. Everything from the setting to the creatures, the mission and details of equipment and what they’re called. It has to be fan fiction or at least set in that setting. I was hoping someone would write some barotrauma stuff.

Very well done, for anyone else looking for a similar story there is a high quality audio drama that goes by the similar name Derelict/Fathom I highly recommend since its not very popular but it really should be. It starts slow but once it gets started it gives off heavy Dead Space, Event Horizon vibes.

I just watched promithius and and Ridley Scott's covenant and I saw the original alien in the 80s and I fell in love with that theme. There's so much garbage SciFi they don't seem to understand vthst mystery is the core theme of a great sci fi. Ahh I just heard a Aussie women in part 3 on here. How long till Sun down ,that's what we say in Australia because it's so hot in summer its unbelievable 3 weeks of over 40° degrees every summer. The sun is just more hot here you have to come here to understand,even in winter it's cold but if the sub us out it will warm you fast like it's ridiculous. It was 53 degrees in Sydney one Xmas and people were dying and trucks were going around all though the city giving water bottles to everyone. Japanese tourist were laying on the subway opening in the shade. The roads melted the train tracks melted and this was weeks if extreme heat. This land is not for humans unless you live near the beach. As I do. I dream about the Rockies and the alps. It's winter now and I just went out and I was sweating and it's warm not at all cold in anyway it's only when the sun goes down it does get cold but only the absence of sun. I'd like to know why the sun feels closer here IV heard American people say they get off a plane and the sun feels like it's closer and it's impressive like you have to come in summer a know what heat really is. It was 70 degrees in the desert once that's hot
Seventy degrees is beautiful, you must have meant Celsius or centigrade, I'm not an expert on the European terms but I do understand degrees as a standard of measurement, and living in the state of Florida 70 degrees is a gift from God

This has been a new found treasure ,I'm glad I discovered, the stories and narration are to This point superb,of course I won't criticize the narrator for a mediocre story of that is to come to pass, the narrator has the ability to make me think this really happening and that is a rare talent to make the unbelievable feel like you are experiencing the the uneasiness, well done magnetar I'll be sticking around for a while,if you don't mind me lurking and languishing, I have alot of catching up to do

This is awesome. I love sci fi it's the best genre. Ever since I saw 2001 space oddessy in 1985 that changed my mind so much.
The original Star Trek was what got me hooked on the genre.
My dreams are terrifying
I would say it combines dead space and the Thing with event horizon but it setting seems to be where humanity has become a K2+ civilization and gone beyond a stellar civilization and into an interstellar species.
So,...narration aside(your narration is my absolute favorite, and you do more scifi than ANYONE else), that was the first story I've heard on ALL of youtube, that I actually hated. So many plot strings, none with a discernable end! When it started, I was so fricken excited! It had my 2 absolute favorite kinds of pasta, all wrapped up in one story...space, and ocean...,BTW??? I only listened for all 3, because I thought the last one was going to wrap up some plots, but NOT EVEN CLOSE! first time I actually wanted and hour and a half of my life back. Sorry, but boooo!boohoo! I'm still going to hot like for you(narrator). The only thing I can afford to do other than leave comments. I am sorry for my critique of the story, but I felt pretty powerful about it, and i think i kept it clean. Hope you're not mad at me for it.

Another Lovecraft inspired story ✨️
so is this part of some video game universe? or a movie timeline or something? it reads very much like a fanfiction. and is hard to get into with zero context. I'm curious if the author simply doesn't know what some words mean (like interlocutor, or flak) or if these are terms that mean something else in whatever universe this is set in? i kept having to re-wind when the protagonist mentions seeing an interlocutor, because that implies there is a... person. or maybe robot or something there, who is an interlocutor. but i think he's just describing his surroundings. but, then, what is he looking at?? i have no idea what an interlocutor is, in this universe.
or the multiple mentions of a "flak shotgun" flak would imply that this shotgun has some form of anti-air roll. but its only ever used in tight corridors? is it sending shrapnel around on a space station?? that sounds incredibly dangerous for the user?
and there are some basic small things that are very confusing to someone who is outside of whatever pre-established universe this story takes place in. things like... guns don't fire when you pull the trigger, they only fire when you let go of the trigger?? or how there is gravity sometimes, and sometimes not. and the color of "plasma" from the pistols, which.. glow for some reason...? and the color changes depending on its function. this is totally fine in a sci-fi setting, but as someone outside of this story, i don't know what the colors mean, and the author doesn't elaborate !
aside from that, this is pretty good for someone getting into writing!!! my main complaints would just be that the events in the story seem to be totally random and disjointed. there are hundreds of classic sci-fi where reality begins to break down, and things begin to stop making sense. but those stories work because they still function on their own laws of the world that's been set up. where as this universe expects the reader to already know a bunch of established lore. which isn't presented in the story.
another thing is just the repetition. all of these stories are essentially the same thing. characters go to a spooky mystery place, something unexplained happens for no discernable reason, and the character shoots themselves in the head (people sure are prone to suicide in the future lol) its fine as a single short story, but as multiple stories in a combined universe, its very.... yeah, its repetitive :(
still! i think this author has great potential!! i really hope to hear more of their work in the future!! thank you!!

This was great, except maybe the part at 49:53... it think it's rather cliche, but overall the story was good.

These are pretty good stories. The author needs to get some terminology down a little better, like bulkheads and not walls. Could also use a little bit of setup for setting, but good stuff! Excellent narration too
